No! Not thelegendary song by KISS. Shock me that the Bay Area has stood up against an expansion of a Mosque there. Personally I don’t think the Mosque should be there in the first place but this is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately this is not a one-time battle non-Muslims have been going through because attempted expansions of Mosques have happened in states across America.
They thought the Bay Area was welcoming. Then they tried to expand their mosque
Abid Ahmad felt his stomach tighten last month as he watched a brief video clip on his iPhone of a middle-aged white man shouting at women in headscarves. “You need to hurry!” read the accompanying text from his older sister, who had just witnessed that scene at a meeting in their hometown of Vacaville.
For several days, Facebook announcements about a neighborhood meeting to discuss a proposed expansion of Vacaville’s only mosque had drawn hateful comments decrying the supposed dangers of Islam. Now, while weaving through traffic along Interstate 80 as he sped to the meeting from his office in Concord, Ahmad feared what he was about to face.
I see we have another so-called reporter who doesn’t know that Sharia is a clear threat to non-Muslims.
SNIP:
During that March 18 meeting at a senior center in downtown Vacaville, according to attendees and video reviewed by the Chronicle, anti-Muslim activists handed out white sheets of paper comparing Islam to the Antichrist. An older white man sent a capacity crowd of roughly 300 people into an uproar when he proclaimed that a new mosque “is not going to happen here!” A middle-aged woman held up pages she’d printed out showing Google results for “Islamic terrorism.”
After all of these years of speaking against Islam it sure is refreshing to see so many non-Muslims turning “Islamophobic”.
SNIP:
In the process, they also sent a message to Muslim communities throughout the country: Nowhere is immune from Islamophobia anymore. Though Vacaville is often considered more conservative than San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, it is still part of the Bay Area, which many Muslims have long viewed as a bastion of religious tolerance.
So it is phobia to oppose the perversion of Islam?
SNIP:
“The Bay is probably the last place you’d expect to see discrimination against another person’s religion,” said Aaron Rowden, a District 8 congressional candidate who attended the March 18 neighborhood meeting. “That’s what made what happened in Vacaville so surprising.”
Islam discriminates against other religions so why should it be respected back?
SNIP:
And, for the most part, that was Ahmad’s experience growing up there. Aside from some schoolyard name-calling in the wake of 9/11, he rarely felt discriminated against for being Muslim. But, over the past decade-plus, America’s cultural climate shifted dramatically.
Great! Muslims do not belong here because in the real world all so-called cultures just do not mix.
Koran 9:30

Does that sound like something that meshes with America?
