Besides having to fight Muslims in the information war, we are also battling the intentional ignorance of the mainstream media (MSM). I say “intentional ignorance” because it is obvious that many who report for the MSM have done little, if any, research on Islam. Let’s take a look at an outrageous example of this irresponsible reporting!
Islam is all-American for one U.S. Muslim leader

But it was not until the American Muslim leader immersed himself in Islamic studies at Al Azhar that he realized just how American he was, regardless of his religion.
Al Azhar is considered the highest learning Islamic school in the world. They are obviously pro-Shariah Law, which contradicts the US Constitution. One example of this are the different views on slavery. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in the entire United States. What does Reliance of the Traveller an Islamic Law manual approved by Al Azhar say about slavery?

Webb’s positions on issues such as women’s rights and religious community involvement are near the American mainstream. He denounces violence in the name of Islam, and encourages U.S. Muslim youth to be comfortable with their American roots.
Webb can denounce brutality in the name of Islam all he wants, but it does not change the fact that violence is an integral part of Islam. Unfortunately, the author of the article does not ask the tough questions.

Narrated Anas bin Malik:Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.’ And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah.” Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, “O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?” He replied, “Whoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’, faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have.”

But in his early days as a convert, Muslim-majority countries became a mythical land where Webb said he felt like he could tap into an authentic Islam.
The following is a sample of “authentic Islam”.
Bukhari Hadith Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:
Narrated ‘Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'”
This portion of “authentic Islam” is also corroborated by the Al Azhar-approved manual of Islamic Law.

o8.1 When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed.
I know…I know…Webb was still out sick that day.
Pundits and politicians who decry the growth of Islam in the United States often cite Muslim extremists’ desire to implement Shariah, or Islamic law. Some state legislators have gone as far as proposing legislation banning it.
But Webb, who continues to spend lengthy periods studying at Al Azhar, said jurisprudence in Shariah, which means path, necessarily considers culture and custom in its interpretations.
I see, it must be because “Webb” said so?! What a masterful piece of journalistic work this article was!
The bottom line is that Shariah calls for the dominance of non-Muslims. Here is a recent statement from Al Azhar on this very matter:
Members of al-Azhar’s Islamic Research Council held an emergency meeting led by the institution’s head, Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, repudiating Bishop Bishoy’s comments and accusing him of provoking sectarian tension.
A “Statement to the Nation” was released by the Council on Saturday, September 25 in which al-Tayeb said “This kind of behavior is irresponsible and threatens national unity at a time when it is vital to protect it.” He also warned against repercussions these sorts of statements can have among Muslims in Egypt and abroad.
The Statement went on to say that the Council stresses the fact that Egypt is an “Islamic State”, according to the text of its Constitution, which represents the social contract among its people. “From this stems the rights of citizenship, as taught to us by the Messenger of Allah in his pact with the Christians of Najran, in which he decided that they were to enjoy rights and duties as the Muslims. However, these rights are conditional to respect for the Islamic Identity and the citizenship rights as set by the Constitution.”
Apparently, Webb is not giving us the full story.
For the Muslim clerics he knows throughout the world, an Islamic order in America makes “absolutely no sense, whatsoever.”
A true reporter would have asked Webb to name exactly for whom it is that he speaks. But, like I said, he wants to take the easy way out and purposely remains blind to this glaring issue.

American Muslims do not disagree that there is a real threat from extremism, according to Webb. He said the greatest danger comes when both non-Muslims and Muslims alike believe Islam is un-American.

The 8th Amendment guarantees that punishments will be fair, and not cruel, and that extraordinarily large fines will not be set.
