These ridiculous Rules of Engagement (ROE), stem from the nation building policy. I do not mean any disrespect to our great troops when I say this, because they did not write up the war plan, but nation building is a failure, as the infidel does not get to dictate to Muslims what Islam is. Iraq is now a Christian persecuting Islamic country, where the Shiite vs Sunni feud continues, and Afghanistan will always be an Islamic hellhole.
This is besides the fact that Islam is marching across the West. In the end what is the point of fighting them over there, and allowing Islam to takeover here? Our troops deserve better. It is time to bring them home, and end all Muslim immigration. The war is here now.
Newly appointed Afghan war commander General David Petraeus says there will be no change in the application of the rules of engagement in the US led war.
Petraeus made the remarks in Brussels on Thursday during a briefing to NATO officials about the war in Afghanistan
The remarks come as there are fears among some NATO countries that Petraeus would make changes in the current rules of engagement, which put restrictions on coalition attacks to limit civilian casualties.
The top US commander insisted that he had no plans to make it easier for NATO troops to use lethal force in operations in populated areas.
He said keeping civilian casualties to an “absolute minimum” would remain a key objective.
Petraeus also insisted that the foreign forces must achieve unity in order to meet their objectives in Afghanistan.
His visit came just one day after the US Senate confirmed him as the new top commander.
US President Barack Obama picked Petraeus to take charge of the 140,000 foreign troops in Afghanistan after he fired General Stanley McChrystal for publicly criticizing White House officials.
Petraeus predicts the war in Afghanistan may get more intense over the next few months. He has also warned that it could take a number of years before Afghan security forces can take over from the US-led troops.
The rising foreign casualties have sparked anger among the public in the countries allied with the US in Afghanistan.
Time to bring our troops home. I don’t think there is one American willing to sacrifice a soldier for those ungrateful muslims. Much less for our Manchurian Candidate president.
Put them on our border to protect us from this invasion from the south.
Time to bring our boys home.
I have said from the beginning of this current war in the Mid-East that we’re fighting with one hand tied behind our back. That has been under Bush as well as Obama. I have a little more hope for the Iraqis, but the Afghans are in the stone age. We should just kill as many Taliban and Al Qai’ida as we can. The place is beyond redemption. We should feed all those Taliban guys the “fruit of the poppy” and then they’ll be so strung out they won’t want to kill the infidel any longer.
And the insanity keeps on going.
Would all these high ranking military people be afraid of losing their job if there were no wars?
Would be nice if all the troops from all nations would refuse to fight any longer in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Too many people are still ignorant to the fact of the threat of Islam.
Maria….
Did I ever show you this? If this were about Christianity, the people at the Pentagon would be screaming from the rooftops.
US Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond: Islam is a Beautiful Religion

I was under the impression that he was going to change things. Guess I’m mistaken. Time to come home untill we decide to get serious!!!
I was under the same impression. To have our troops in harms way without unleashing them to do as much damage to our enemies as humanly possible is unforgivable.
It is what got us into this whole mess to begin with in Mogadishu.
Pull out now, cut and run, what ever you want to call it. UNLESS you want to get serious and let them KNOW what fighting the USA is all about.
We are not some second class nation despite what Obama says and wants. Cut our warriors loose and let them do their job quick so that no one will ever again mess with us. Civilian casualties don’t seem to bother our foes, they prefer innocents to target.
Give them a taste of their own medicine.
I would be doing fly overs and air drops over villages of pork waste for starters, just to demoralize them!
GET SERIOUS OR GET OUT!
I’m glad I have agreement in here. The Afghans
do not want to rule themselves. They want war lords to tell them how to live.
Give them back the Taliban.
Yes, its the best solution.
The comments I have read on this page are from very sick people in need of mental triage. To advocate the wholesale destruction of human life whose chief “difficulty” is that they happen to have born elsewhere is disturbing.
I hope the commentators find help and are isolated from decent people, in roles that prevent them from doing harm to themselves and others.
You have a different source for this other than Iran’s state-owned PressTV?
I wanted to post it but can’t find a single credible news outlet to corroborate he’s not going to change anything. In fact only PressTV is making this claim.
What he was planning to do was reevaluate the way in which the ROE were carried out. Not explicitly changing the doctrine.
Hi Zip,
Not yet, if I see one I will post it in the comment section here.
Did you see this one?
He added there was no intention of changing the rules of engagement but the alliance would look “very hard at how the rules are implemented and ensure that there is even implementation across all units.”

I did see it. IMO the Iranians are making more of it that it really is. He’s said from the start it’s an implementation thing more than scrapping the current ROE.
I’m not convinced he’ll change anything, but I hope he does loosen things up significantly. If I had to bet on it I’d guess he’ll make some changes.
Thanks, this is a story I’ve been keeping close tabs on.
You’re welcome, keep up the good work!
Same to you!
Nothing has changed in 40 years, in the way that the US mil fights; the media panders to the left, the politicians pander to, ‘published opinion’ and attempt to micro-manage the war, and most officers are concerned with their careers, and the ‘Zero-defect’ policy that has emerged in the military, and of course the threat of court-martial, resulting in ROE’s that offer safe havens and wiggle room for the bad-guys, and so… the GIs are handed the crappiest end of a shit covered stick, again!
Israel knew how to respond to it’s enemies. We should do the same. Any country that harbors or gives sanctuary to Terrorists who are trained to attack us..Should have their infrastructure severely decimated. This is to stop the madness and the tolerance of evil, and make governments in the terrorist business think twice about sanctioning the war against the “so called” infidels in the West and Israel. They must pay. But I doubt if our leaders stand for anything beyond their own self interests. It would take real conviction and backbone to implement such a policy.
