This article is part II to a December 14Th posting entitled “Brooklyn NY: Al Noor Islamic School~ Spreading the Islamic History of War and Conquest~ Part I”. We closed the last thread, talking about how the students there are being taught about Islamic war and conquest. But don’t worry guys the school’s code number is 330561. Which means it is state approved, and we all know that since it is legal, it could never be harmful to the US in anyway…
Moving along.
Al-Noor School, one of the Largest and fastest growing Islamic schools in America, is located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. In September 2002, it attained the K-12 status with a registration of 650 students. Most of its students are the American-born descendants of Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and Indian Subcontinen.
“The staff of Al-Noor School is comitted to the pursuance of excellence in Islamic and academic studies, the inculcation of Islamic values and morals, and the development of a strong attachment of students to the Islamic culture. Its plan is to ensure that our students can make optimum use of the modern facilities, technology and techniques, and to acquire the relevant attitudes and skills so that having graduated they can serve as useful and productive Muslims and can provide effective leadership in all spheres of the society.”
I don’t see much there about assimilating.
Onto the parent handbook we go.
INTRODUCTION:
Since you have chosen to send your child to Al Noor School, you have indicated your deep concern for the moral, social, and academic development of your child according to Islamic principles. We feel a deep sense of commitment and obligation towards your child. This commitment and obligation are expressed in our mission statement:DISCIPLINE:
Meaningful teaching and learning can not take place without well-managed and disciplined students. The discipline enforced will be according to the teachings of Islam, State and Federal Laws, and the code of the Board of Education of the City of New York. A lack of discipline is the second major cause negatively affecting learning in schools of America.
If the State and Federal Laws were not in place, how far would you follow Islamic Law? Should a child be beaten for not praying?
From the Reliance of Traveller, A Classic Manual of Sacred Law
Who Must Pray
f1.2 When a child with discrimination (O: meaning he can eat, drink, and clean himself after using the toilet unassisted) is seven years of age, he is ordered to perform the prayer, and when ten is is beaten for neglecting it (N: not severely, but so as to discipline the child, and not more than three blows).
SNIP
A. In the event a student is not adhering to school rules the following procedure will be adopted before he/she is suspended or expelled.
i. A discussion will be arranged with the student.
ii. Islamic disciplinary rules will be applied to improve student’s behavior.
iii. The parents will be informed by phone.
iv. A letter will be mailed to the parents.
v. The parents will be requested to attend a conference.
vi. Notice of possible suspension will be issued.
vii. A record will be kept of incidents involving the student.
viii. Notice of possible expulsion will be issued.
ix. In the case of expulsion, it will be the decision of the principal and the BOT.
Lets see the rules on the school’s dress code.
DRESS CODE:
i. The Islamic dress code forms the basis for the determination of the school uniform.
ii. Students must be provided with proper clothing for gym. The gym teachers and the students will decide the colors and style of the gym outfit.
iii. Gym outfit must be worn for gym only and not in the classroom, during assembly, or for salaah.
iv. Uniform must be worn each day to and from school and on any event specified by the school, e.g., trips.
v. Students not in uniform will be detained in the office, and their parents will be asked to collect them.
vi. The school will inform parents where and when the uniform can be purchased.
vii. Female students are not to use any form of facial makeup, nail polish, perfume, or wear excessive jewelry. The heels of shoes must not be more than one inch high.viii. T-shirts and jackets with objectionable slogans and pictures cannot be worn for salaah and must not be worn to school.
ix. Boys are not to wear any form of headwear, e.g., caps with names, bandanas, except the recognized kufi for Salaah.
x. A special circular will be provided for parents and students with additional details of the uniform.
xi. Parents (males and females) visiting the school or coming on official business must be properly attired. Those who are not properly dressed may be refused entry. This same rule applies to functions organized by the school.
xii. During all our functions, the males and females will be separately accommodated.
Islam, Islam, Islam, and still nothing about assimilating.
ISLAMIC OBSERVANCE:
i. Ten days holiday will be taken for Ramadan and ten days for Zil Hijj.
ii. The Administration will determine the beginning and ending of the holiday periods for Ramadan and Zil Hijj.
iii. During Ramadan students will be encouraged to fast, and observe other fasts as recommended by the Shariah.
iv. Students will perform Salatul Zuhr and Salatul Jumuah at the school.
v. Because of the timing of Ramadan for the next three years, special arrangements will be made for Salatul Zuhr and Salatul Asr.
vi. There will be a morning assembly each day.
vii. At dismissal time in the afternoon, students will be dismissed after reciting the dua for travelling.
HOLIDAYS:
i. Al Noor School is not bound to follow the holiday schedule of the BOE.
ii. Al Noor will declare certain days or periods as holidays.
iii. After all holidays are taken, there must be 180 days of school.
Of course the school is not bound by the holiday schedule of the Board of Education. That’s because the only thing that matters here is the spread of Islam, and the freedoms of America are just a tool to do that. If America eventually falls to Islam, that tool will be destroyed.
Next we take a look at the student handbook.
PARENT-STUDENT HANDBOOK
2010-2011INTRODUCTION.
“The staff of Al Noor School is committed to the pursuance of excellence in Islamic and academic studies, the inculcation of Islamic values and morals, and the development of a strong attachment of students to the Islamic culture and the Arabic language.
Its plan is to ensure that our students can make optimum use of the modern facilities, technology and techniques, and to acquire the relevant attitudes and skills so that having graduated they can serve as useful and productive Muslims and can provide effective leadership in all spheres of the society.
The content of this handbook was basically the same as the parent one. But I will add this.
CAFETERIA
i. Al Noor School manages the cafeteria and provides breakfast and lunch to the students.
ii. The parents are to fill out the special form so their children can be granted free breakfast and lunch from the Board of Education.
iii. The cafeteria will be opened to students for breakfast and lunch.
Parents and students will be informed of the timings for breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.
iv. There must be no running and playing of any kind in the cafeteria.
v. Islamic rules of eating must be observed.
I guess it is safe to say that the BOE is serving halal food, just like in the UK.
Here is a story about a man eating with his left hand, and Mohammad.
Salama ibn al-Akwa’ recounts that a man was eating with his left hand in the presence of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace). The Prophet told him, “Eat with your right,” to which the man replied, “I cannot,” though nothing stopped him but arrogance. The Prophet said, “May you not be able to” And the man could never lift his right hand to his mouth again.
After reading this two-part series, and looking at the picture below do you really think the students of Al-Noor, are going to grow up and stand with America over Islam?
The destruction from within continues. We need a doctor, and fast.
PLEASE report this to the ACLU. They are suing an islamic school in my state for just that reason. Sorry to say this, but in all these stories you report to us, you are also duty-bound to report them to the proper authorities. Not to do so is Un-American and negligent.
You know I love ya, Chris, but are you only going halfway? Email me and let me know.
CGW
Wow. Good to see that the ACLU is doing its job. That’s remarkable. The only organizations that have taken on Islamic assaults on the Bill of Rights Before have been conservative, like the Thomas More Law Center.
I’m sure as hell is glad I was not born into pislam.

The only thing this story teaches is a belief in magical thinking.
I see no reason.
No intelligence.
Nothing to admire.
Nothing civilized.

So what? 6 Million Muslims convert to Christianity every year in Africa – Al-Jazeerah !

The name you use says a lot, are you a member of Al-Noor?
Why the hostility, do you really think that non-Muslims are going to want to be dominated by Islamic Law?
yes i am, but your seriously mental in the head..
of the teachers there condemn Sharia Law? Do you or any of the teachers there condemn Sharia Law?
Or, just as important, do you understand the tremendous gulf and historical conflict between your culture and that of the West?
Hi eib,
The article is over here as well. I am having problems with my password though.

FU FU
So are you saying the state should not certify a private islamic school?
The US is at war in at least five Islamic countries, so allowing Islam to spread here is just foolish, and the US government should be fighting Islam. Not supporting it. This is besides the fact that Islam is the anti-thesis to Western Civilization.
It should not allow any school that teaches the overthrow of the US constitution and the enslavement of it’s citizens
AmericanMe,
I agree. Its very foolish at the very least to allow this.
The state can certify whatever kind of school it wishes.
If Islam were just a religion, then religious protections would apply to it.
But it’s much more than a religion, and the conflict between Islam and the West is real.
Islam is a special case.
you sir are the most mental person that i have heard. i really dont think that anyone can top you in being this retarded. you suck, get a life and if you make a part 3, then you just topped yourself in being retarded. stop trying to complain about something that you have no knowledge about. cause you are really starting to piss me off.
Anytime you want to debate me on the Islamic scriptures just let me know. I’ll start. Islam calls for the dominance of non-Muslims, and it allows lying and rape.
If you cannot deal with free speech, that is on you.
So you think losing conntrol of your temper is holy?
Rage is holy?
There’s nothing holy or sacred about your rage, Islam or Mohammed.
All three are profane.
FU and Yehia,
Why are you afraid to answer a question straight. You have seen the evidence, read the article, and apparently know something about the qur’aan. Yet you resort to name calling, deviation, and any thing but fact and truth. Could it be that you are afraid of the answers, really just don’t know that much after all, or convicted by a lie you know you would have to give. Aren’t you then just confessing that islam, the qur’aan, and shariah are being inserted into western culture as a replacement? That the purpose of muslim action is hostility to the west? That there never has been, is not now, and never will be the true desire to give up your domination and truly integrate? That your reasons for leaving islamic countries behind was not to leave islam behind but to dominate others for allah (npiih). It would certainly appear that since you can not arrange a defense that at least one of these things is true.
So are you against Yeshivas and Catholic schools and Sunday schools too?
Especially Yeshivas, hey have their own holiday and school schedule. And prayer.
Same with Catholic schools.
Christians and Jews are not on worldwide movements trying to subjugate the world under a barbaric set of religious laws. So your comparison is not valid.
That’s funny.
There are Muslim students in Catholic schools who are trying to subvert the teachings there already.
Are you against this sort of thing?
Or would it be “racist” to protect the integrity of Christian doctrine?
I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It’s beautiful price sufficient for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made excellent content as you probably did, the web shall be much more useful than ever before.
My job requires me to visit different schools throughout the NYC area. I recently spent a morning at Al-Noor for work and the kids there were great. They were incredibly respectful and sweet. Very different from the, frankly, little thugs I often have to deal with. There are students of all races, backgrounds and from all parts of the city in our schools who are just awful. They have no fear of or respect for adults and they could care less about getting a good education. That angers me because kids in many parts of the world would love to go to school but can’t.
I’m surprised at the excerpts of the student guidelines printed above in this post because some of the girls at Al-Noor were wearing nail polish and I definitely saw shoes that didn’t have flat heels. The dress of the boys was unremarkable — as is pretty normative for teen boys everywhere. So, either the school relaxed some of its standards or they aren’t strongly enforced across the board.
As an evangelical Christian, I certainly don’t agree with huge parts of their religion and, as a woman, I don’t care for many of their beliefs there, either. But, because I am a Christian, I’m very happy I met the students there because they will now be in my prayers.
Hi KR,
Even if your story is true, in no way whatsoever should we drop our guard versus Islam.
