Well considering this is a war with Islam there is going to be good news like Texas taking on Islamic terrorism, and bad news like Muslims in NYC making a major push for marriage. Which will of course yield more offspring. Unfortunately today we go back to the bad news, like Muslims changing our public school system to suit Islam.

Religious Offerings: Local Muslim groups to host speaker on community challenges

The Toledo Muslim Community Center and the Toledo Chapter of American Muslims for Palestine welcome an esteemed speaker to share Challenges Facing the Muslim Community in the West.

Osama Abu Irshaid will speak after Friday prayers at 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the TMCC, 3319 Nebraska Ave., Toledo.

Irshaid is the executive director of American Muslims for Palestine and Americans for Justice in Palestine Action, and he also serves as chairman of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations. He is a frequent lecturer and commentator on Middle Eastern and American politics.

Democrat Nabilah Islam Parkes enters 2026 race for Insurance Commissioner

ATLANTA – Georgia State Sen. Nabilah Islam Parkes announced her campaign for insurance commissioner on Wednesday.

The backstory:

Parkes, a Democrat who represents Georgia’s 7th Senate District in Gwinnett County, is in her second term. She currently serves on several legislative committees, including Banking and Financial Institutions; Children and Families; Science and Technology; and Veterans, Military and Homeland Security.

First Muslim-majority city in US names street after Bangladesh’s Khaleda Zia

The city of Hamtramck in the US state of Michigan has renamed one of its roads from Carpenter Street to Khaleda Zia Street in honour of the former three-time Prime Minister of Bangladesh, reported Bangladeshi daily Desh Rupantor. A vital fact is that the city of Hamtramck is the first city in the US to have an entirely Muslim-majority population. It is also the first US city with an all-Muslim council.

Hamtramck became a Muslim-majority city in 2013 and the city also had a Muslim-majority governing council in 2015. In 2022, Hamtramck became the first US city with an all-Muslim city council.

Desh Rupantor reported that the proposal to name the section of the road between Joseph Campau and Conault Streets in Hamtramck City after Khaleda Zia was recently approved by the City Council. The council currently has four councillors of Bangladeshi origin, whose active efforts made the naming of the road possible.
