This article has two-sides to it. My initial reaction is that why wasn’t this done decades ago? My second reaction is at least it is slated to be done now. What I am talking about is that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), all intelligence personnel, are now required to take lessons on Islam.
IDF overhauls Arabic, Islamic training after Oct. 7 failures
All intelligence personnel, including cyber units, will now study Arabic and Islamic culture as part of sweeping reforms to address intelligence gaps.

The Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Directorate is implementing sweeping reforms in Arabic and Islamic studies following the failures of Oct. 7, 2023, the IDF confirmed to JNS on Wednesday.
Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, head of the directorate, has ordered new training requirements for all intelligence personnel, including those in technological roles previously not connected to Arabic language or Islamic studies.
“Until now, we have not been good enough in the fields of culture, language and Islam. We need to improve in these areas,” a senior intelligence officer told Army Radio military correspondent Doron Kadosh.
It’s astonishing that this policy wasn’t enacted decades ago. Well let’s get started and learn about the Islamic hatred of Jews.
Before we even get into specific verses and Sahih (authentic words and deed of Mohammad) Ahadith we will start with the Islamic prayer itself. Which instructs Muslims not to be like Jews.

The path of those whom You have favored,
Not the path of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray. Amen.
Who are those “who earned your anger”? Jews.
﴿وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَـمُوسَى لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِن بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِى هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ اهْبِطُواْ مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ﴾(61. And (remember) when you said, “O Musa ! We cannot endure one kind of food. So invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows, its herbs, its cucumber its Fum, its lentils and its onions.” He said, “Would you exchange that which is better for that which is lower Go you down to any town and you shall find what you want!”)﴿وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَـتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ﴾(61 cont. – And they were covered with humiliation and misery, and they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. That was because they used to disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidence) of Allah and killed the Prophets wrongfully. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress the bounds (in their disobedience to Allah, i.e. commit crimes and sins.)) (2:61)
Moving forward, or should I say backwards when it comes to Islam?
Yusuf Ali:
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
Sahih International:
Say, “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.”
Mohsin Khan:
Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Furthermore, Arabic and Islamic content will be integrated across all stages of training, from pre-enlistment courses to advanced officer instruction. By next year, all Intelligence Directorate members will receive Islamic studies training, and half will undergo Arabic language training—a significant increase from previous years.

It has been narrated by ‘Umar b. al-Khattib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.
As if all of that is not bad enough I leave you with the following Sahih Bukhari Hadith. Book 56, Hadith 139.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”
I just read this article all the way thru.. Very informative; yet again , as are all of your articles.. interesting that the IDF is just getting education on this! America needs to include this to our people. Something you .
