After Pope Benedict became Pope his Student priests were having a presentation on how Islam can be reformed. Pope Benedict stopped them and said to his student priests that Islam cannot be reformed. Muslims believe every verse of the Quran is the word of Allah. You can’t reform the word of Allah. This is different from the Bible in which God inspired and spoke through the writers of these texts. Therefore the writers may have written cultural norms into the Bible.
