Garden City Muslims seek section of cemetery
Associated Press – June 3, 2010 10:24 AM ETGARDEN CITY, Kan. (AP) – Leaders of the Muslim community in Garden City are asking the city to set aside a section of the city cemetery for their members.
The Garden City Telegram reports that several leaders from Burmese, Somali and Ethiopian communities presented a letter to City Commissioner Nancy Harness containing the request.
The group is asking that a section of Valley View Cemetery be separated with a fence or other structure for a burial ground. Customs and styles of a Muslim gravesite, burial and funerals vary by regional customs.
Harness passed along the request to fellow commissioners during a public meeting Tuesday but no action was taken.

Er, I was replying to “Marcus”. I would only expect private cemeteries to be restricted to a specific group. Some old English churches have graveyards attached to them. Its probably a European custom too.

There was also some cemetary I think it was in Morrocco but I’m not sure where they dug upp all the remains on the christians and just piled it up like a heap of garbage. We’ve had refugees arrested for khat, they are NOTARIOUS deadly drivers (theres an article that talks about that also,) they have to be told to supervise their children/toddlers when they are outside playing in the parking lots & streets. Of course, Tyson is quick to help them form a committee to rally the community for help but does little else for them.

It depends on their beliefs. There are some nationalities who doesn’t want to mingle with other nationalities which means they do not want to be buries with other nationalities as well.
