Islam is not a race, and more importantly, neither is it a religion; it is rather a totalitarian and repressive political belief system. Our enemy is not al quaida, or the taliban, or khadaffi, or ahmadinejad or choudary; OUR ENEMY IS ISLAM! If we continue to swallow the fiction of “moderate islam” we are inevitably doomed.

I totally agree with you. They made valid points yesterday about our illegal occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq. (Which failed to get into the newspapers). Not to mention the Iraq logs which saw over 20,000 Iraqi civilians murdered and covered up. I’m a white Brit yet I’m on the Muslims side. We’ve got blood on our hands thanks to the British and US’s governments role in these wars. 1. Afghanistan was not the point of the demonstrations.
2. Remembrance day refers not to the present, but to the past.

That’s not a good idea, in addition to what Gary Rumain said, in the long run, it would probably just make you look like a bigoted idiot. Islam may not be peaceful or tolerant, but that doesn’t mean that every single person who calls themselves a Muslim is not. If you happened to attack a westernized liberal Muslim who ignores the violent teachings of his faith’s holy text or if you ended up attacking someone who you mistook for a Muslim, it would only send the message that you were a violent hate monger.
What we really need to do is educate our fellow non Muslims, and demand that our leaders stand up to these people. We need to change our laws, not do things that will most likely reinforce the notion that some people have that people who oppose Islamic expansion do so out of blind hatred.

The trouble with Islam is that all TRUE Muslims are expected to believe every single word,command and direction in the Quran,Hadith(sayings of Muhammad), and sharia law. Therefore the so-called “moderate” Muslims are not considered as proper Muslims and would themselves be targets if/when the UK was taken over by Muslim fanatics and Britain turned into an Islamic caliphate ruled through sharia.
Throughout history since Muhammad died in 632AD Sunnis and Shias have killed each other in MILLIONS by now, making wars between Catholics and Protestants look like school playground dust ups. Look at the atrocities in Iraq, Pakistan, the Lebanon and Indonesia all sectarian and Taliban and/or Al Qaeda inspired.
Perhaps the very best way to sort out our Islamic problem is to send our fundamentalist Muslims back to fight each other in the countries they came from! Abu Hamza(Dr Hook) versus Bin Okri-that would be far more exciting than Haye versus Harrison!!

I’m not denying that Islam is an inherently violent, intolerant religion. But does it look good to go around with a baseball bat looking for Muslims to bash their skulls in? Doing things that are likely to backfire on us, is not a good idea. Those Muslims will than be able to legitimately go around claiming that they are being attacked only because they were Muslims. If any of them turn out to be non fundamentalist Muslims who reject things like Jihad and Sharia, by chance, or not a Muslim at all, not even a Muslim in name only, it will look even worse.
Frankly, Mr. Woolmer, I don’t see indigenous Westerners doing that.
Instead, I see them on trial for their beliefs and pushed out of employment for voicing anxiety about Muslims.
Freedom of speech means precisely that. At least in the West it does.
The historical and present case for Muslim intolerance is far stronger than the present case for Western bigotry.
I think multiculturalism should be interrogated.
Islam should be critiqued continuously.
Muslims should be taught that it is right to critique religion, ideas, philosophy and Sharia.
They should also be taught that the rule of law is the rule of secular law, one law for all. Sharia decisions will never have any standing in a secular court.

If you took the trouble to read what I posted CAREFULLY I said that we should send back the malcontents here Sunni versus Shia and let them bash each other IN THE COUNTRIES THEY ORIGINALLY CAME FROM. We need all the protection HERE in the UK and I can see absolutely no merit, sense or justification for our soldiers getting killed every day in Afghanistan a country which has never been occupied, has never had nor wanted a democracy and where it will be imposssible to win against the Taliban and/or Al Qaeda.
