Recently Gain Peace exploited the race relations issue, now the Covid Pandemic. Once again using a massive billboard in an attempt to mislead non-Muslims.
That sounds nice right? The problem is that they did not quote verse 5:32 in its entirety. Misquoting this specific verse is a frequently used Islamocon.
Koran 5:32
As highlighted, the part they omitted is that unless the killing is for “corruption or mischief in the land”. Which can mean most anything. The concept is called fasad.
According to the world renowned Tafsir (scholarly interpretation and explanation of the Koran) Ibn Kathir, the “mischief” pertains to the following actions.
