I frequently have conversations with Islamic apologists who say that their Muslim “friends” have the utmost respect for Jesus. Well, perhaps they do, but it is not in the same vein as Christians’ respect for their Saviour! From the viewpoint of Muslims, Jesus is returning as a Muslim, and he will break the cross (destroy Christianity) and be a slave to Islam. Muslims believe that Jesus will also abolish the jizya, which will leave Jews and Christians with only two options: convert to Islam or die!

Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it.” Abu Huraira added “If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): — ‘And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them.” (4.159) (See Fateh Al Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)
So, according to the Muslim belief, when Judgment Day arrives, Jesus will judge the people by the words of the Koran and not of the Holy Bible.

Allah’s Apostle said “How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Quran and not by the law of Gospel (Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7)

I'm a Christian and I am totally outraged and disgusted regarding the "values" held within Islam. Based upon what I now know regarding this religion of Satan, I have to say that this is the darked, most evil thing on the face of the earth! I spent one year in Afghanistan and witnessed the most evil and cruel barbarity known to man, all attributed to Islam. Girls schools blown up, teachers threatened with their lives, divorced women begging in the freezing winter streets of Kabul and others killed for thinking outside the box of accepted Islamic norms. When the veil of the temple was torn, exposing the Holy Place to everyone, Jesus had paid the price for the sins of the world. Once and for all. He is the Son of God, at the right hand of The Father. There is no other name under Heaven where by we are saved. Jesus died, was buried, then resurrected from the dead. He later rose to the Heavenly realm, sending The Holy Spirit to live in all who believe in Him. We are now the temple of the Most High. …. Either these things are false in contrast to Islam, as the Koran teaches a different message. Or, these things are truth, which then condemns all other teaching relating to the Most High God. “My peace I give you” Jesus said. In the world we will have conflict, as we are not of this world. Jesus said “be happy, I have overcome the world”.

‘PROPHECIES FULFILLED BY THE COMING OF ‘BAHA’U’LLAH’,
The ‘Promised One’:
Prophecy: Ezekiel Ch 43; v 4
“And the glory of the Lord came into the house by way of the gate whose prospect is towards the east”.
Baha’u’llah’s name in English means the ‘Glory of God’ and He did come to Israel from the east. Baha’u’Ilah’s birthplace in Tehran, Persia is directly east of Israel and he did come by way of the gate. Baha’u’llah, like Christ before him had a herald, a forerunner. Christ had John the Baptist, Baha’u’llah had a young man, a wonderful young man called ‘The Bab’ who was a prophet in his own right. He prepared the way for Baha’u’llah just as it was foretold it would happen in the scriptures. The Bab’s name when translated into english means ‘the gate’. Baha’u’llah, the ‘Glory of God’ came to the Holy Land from the east by way of the Bab (The Gate).
Prophecy: EzekieI Ch 43; v 2
“And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and his voice was like a noise of many waters, and the earth shined with his glory”.
Baha’u’llah, whose name means the ‘Glory of God’ came from the east. He wrote over 100 volumes. His name is known now in over 316 countries, territories and islands. And also in over 50,000 places in the world is his faith firmly established. All this has taken place in little over a 150 years. Imagine how the earth had shined with Baha’u’llah’s glory ! ‘Baha’, meaning ‘glory’.
Prophecy: Jeremiah Ch 49; v 38
“And i will set my throne in Elam, and i will destroy from thence the kings and the princes, saith the Lord”.
Jeremiah says this will take in the latter days, and where does Jeremiah say God will place this throne ? In Elam, which was once part of the land we know as Persia, the birthplace of both the Bab and Baha’u’llah. Baha’u’llah wrote many letters and messages to the kings of the world of that time. He warned them that they would lose their kingdom and their power if they did not do the work of God and protect their people. Well, they did not, and their kingdoms were destroyed. One can read this story in the book ‘The Promised Day is Come’. The kings were punished by their own heedless actions just as Baha’u’llah said they would be. Kingdom after kingdom fell just as foretold by Baha’u’llah and by the prophets of old. It happened as Jeremiah said it would happen, in the day when God would set His throne at Elam in Persia (Iran), and would destroy the wicked rulers.
Prophecy: Ancient Jewish Writings
“And then from the sunrise God shall send a king who shall give every man release from the vein of war, nor shall he do these things by his own counsel, but in obedience to the good ordinances of the mighty God”.
The Jewish author Joseph Kalusner in his book ‘The Messianic Idea in Israel’, explains that this king from the sunrise is without any doubt the king Messiah. Those are his words. Baha’u’llah came to Israel from the sunrise, being from the east. The world center of the Baha’i faith is established on Mount Carmel in Israel. The kingdom of Baha’u’Ilah has now spread into all parts of the world.
Prophecy: Ancient Scripture of Zoroaster
“If there is but one minute remaining in the whole world, i will send someone from the nation of Persia, who shall renew religion”. “When Persia and the other countries are taken over by the Arabs, i will choose one from the generations of the kings of Persia so that he will call the people of the world from east to west to worship one God”.
The Guardian of the Baha’i Faith, Shoghi Effendi tells in the book ‘God Passes By’, Baha’u’llah has descended from the line of the Sasanian dynasty of the kings of Persia (Iran). Baha’u’llah was also decended from Zoroaster. In the writings, Persia (Iran) has been given a special place in the last days. Although the Bible scholars couldn’t say why, they do say that “Persia (Iran) has a special place”.
Prophecy: Daniel Ch 12: v 1
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was anation even to that same time, and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book”.
Daniel, in these verses tells us about the coming of this great messenger of God. In the year 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith. Many of the Christian Bible scholars came to this same 1844 period for the return of Christ when they studied the prophecies of Daniel. And where did Daniel make all of these wonderful prophecies ? Daniel made these prophecies when he was in Elam, in Persia. Daniel said that Persia and Elam would be given as a place of vision in the latter days. Daniel wrote this in Shoshan, in ancient Persia. Shoshan was the capitalcity of Elam, the ancient land we know now as Persia or Iran. And another prophecy, is that of Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasting 40 years. It had begun in the ‘Black Pit Prison’ in Tehran, Persia, and ended with the passing of Baha’u’llah in the Holy Land of Israel some 40 years later.
Joseph Kalusner in his book ‘The Messianic Idea in Israel’ quotes R. Elyazar Betyhalis, another respected Jewish author as saying “the days of the Messiah will last 40 years”. Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasted exactly 40 years. Sir Edward Irving, a Christian clergyman and Bible scholar spent much time studying the prophecies about when Christ would return. He expected Christ to return in the 1843-1845 period. Edward Irving also wrote about the prophecy he had discovered in India about a religion that would come from the west and would possess the world in 40 years, and Persia of course is west of India.
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 24: v 3 (One of Christ’s promises regarding His return)
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, “tell us, when shall these things be, and what shall be the signs of thy coming, and of the end of theworld” ?
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 2: v 1
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come”. When the gospel of Christ is preached to all the nations of the world as a witness, the end will come and Christ will return.
That’s Christ’s own prophecy. This is what he told his disciples and through them, his followers in the years to come. This is what we should look for. When the gospel is preached to all the world, then will he return. In the years of the 1840’s, Christian Bible scholars began to become very interested in this prophecy. They were convinced that by the 1840’s the gospel of Christ had already spread to the entire world, so thereby meaning that Christ could return at any time soon. By 1844 the gospel was being taught even in the interior of deep Africa.
In his book, ‘Our Day in the Light of Prophecy’, written concerning the period of the 1840’s, Spicier, the author wrote that the gospel of Christ in his day had been spread to most of the inhabitants of the earth. A similar prophecy about the time of the return of Christ is given in the Book of ‘Mark’ chapter 13 v 10′ which informs us that, ”and the gospel must first be published among all nations”. This prophecy of Christ had already been fulfilled by the time of the 1840’s. By the year 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith, the gospel of Christ had been published widespread among the nations and had reached into almost every part of the world. In that same chapter of Mark 13 v 33, Christ told his followers to be awake and watch for that day. He said,”Take ye heed, watch and pray, for ye know not when the time is”. Now after more than a century many of the Christians are still waiting, although the Baha’i Faith began over 150 years ago and fulfilled so exactly this first promise of Christ.
Prophecy: Luke Ch 21: v 7 (Christ’s second promise)
And they asked him, saying, “Master, but when shall these things be and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass” ?
Christ warned them not to be deceived but to read the signs in the right way and to understand his words.
Prophecy: Luke Ch 21: v 2
“And they shall fall be the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled”.
Sometime after the crucifixion of Christ, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman emperor, ‘Tiget’, when the city was totally destroyed. It was plowed under and renamed. The Jews were banished. Many of them suffered as Christ had foretold, they fell by the edge of the sword. They fled, they were scattered and they were led away captive. When were the times of the Gentiles fulfilled ? After the Romans, the Muslims then conquered Jerusalem. The holy city was made forbidden territory for the Jews until what time do you think ? Until the year 1844. In 1844 a document called the ‘Edict of Toleration’ was signed. This Edict is also mentioned by Smith in his book ‘Miracle of Ages’. He points out that in the year 1844 AD the Muslims under the leadership of Turkey were compelled by western powers to grant religious toleration to all nations within their homeland for the first time in some 12 centuries. One may read about this in history. The Christian scholar, George Townsend, said that this prophecy about the time of the Gentiles was defnitely fulfilled by the year 1844, and by the signing of Edict of Toleration. Mr Townsend became a follower of Baha’u’ llah and became one of the Baha’i Faith’s most illustrious teachers and scholars.
Prophecy: Revelation Ch 11: v 2
“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not, for it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months”.
42 Months is 3.5 years or 1260 days. The Christian Bible scholars who were studying about the return of Christ agree that in prophecy a day is taken to mean a year. Thus these scholars took 1260 days to be 1260 years. At the end of that time, at the end of 1260 years, the times of the Gentiles would be fulfilled, so says the book of Revelations.
Prophecy: Numbers Ch 14: v 21
“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord”.
The meaning of Baha’u’Ilah’s name when translated into English means the ‘Glory of God’. After the Romans conquered Jerusalem, the Muslims were the next to conquer it and as George Townsend points out, “the strict exclusion of the Jews from their own land enforced by the Muslims for some 12 centuries was at last relaxed by the Edict of Toleration and the times of the Gentiles were fulfilled”. This Edict was signed in 1844 and that was the beginning of the ‘Baha’i Faith’. “and the year 1260 of the Muslim calendar is identical with the year 1844 of the Christian calendar”. The hour of Christ’s return was 1844, the beginning of the wonderful faith of Baha’u’llah.
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 24: v 15 (Christ’s third promise)
“When ye therefore shall see the admonition of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, stand in the holy place, who so readeth, let him understand”.
Prophecy: Daniel Ch 8: v 14
“And he said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”.
These things Daniel said would take place at the time of the end. Daniel described it as times, time and half a time, or in the language of prophecies, 3.5 years which equals 42 months or 1260 days. Daniel prophecises that 2300 days shall pass before the sanctuary be cleansed. Following this time all things would be made pure again. Before this time the people would have fallen into admonition, without love to God or man and they would be trouble makers, haters of their fellow man, all of the things we see in the world today.
But after 2300 years the sanctuary would be cleansed and the hopes of man would be restored again. Daniel rates Christ and Baha”u’llah together in these remarkable prophecies. That’s why the Bible scholars use these chapters not only to determine Christ’s first coming but also the time when Christ would return to the earth. Daniel said that from the issuing of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem until the cutting of the Messiah or the crucifixion of Christ, there are appointed 490 days or 490 years in prophecy. Both the cutting off of the Messiah, death of Christ and end of the admonition of desolation begin with that same decree to rebuild Jerusalem. Scholars determined that this was the decree of the emperor Artizorties issued in the year 457 and where was Artizorties from ? from Persia. Where did Daniel have his vision ? In Shoshan, capital of Elam in ancient Persia. When did Daniel say all these things would take place ? At the time of the end, a time which shows to be in prophecy 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith.
A Christian scholar, E.B. Catimayi, in his book ‘Light for the Last Day’ says “from the first day of the Jewish month of Nisan in the year 457 until the first day of the month of Nisan in 1844, there are exactly 2300 years that have passed”. Baha’u’llah’s declaration to the world that he was the ‘Promised One’ was made in the Valley of the Tigress River, near to the site of the river Chobare, the place where the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel saw his vision of the ‘Glory of God’. In that valley, Baha’u’llah wrote his ‘Book of Certitude’. This book, Baha’u’llah said, broke the seal of the book referred to by Daniel. This book disclosed the meaning of those words which were destined by Daniel to remain closed up until the time of the end. The time of the end had come.
Prophecy: John Ch 15: v 26
“But when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me”.
Baha’u’llah did just that. He wrote often of Christ lovingly, tenderly, movingly. Baha’u’Ilah told the Christians that he, Baha’u’llah was that helper. These are just a few words which Baha’u’llah has written of Christ. “if ye be resolved to shed the blood of him whose coming Jesus Christ himself has announced, behold me standing ready and defenseless before you. Deal with me after your own desires. If ye be content on crucifying once again Jesus the Spirit of God, put me to death for he hath once more in my person and made manifest unto you, Deal with me as you wish, for I have vowed to lay down my life in the path of God”.
Prophecy: John Ch 16: v 7 and v 13
”Nevertheless i tell you the truth, It is expedient for you that i go away, for if i go not away, the ‘Comforter’ will not come unto you, but if i depart, i will send him unto you”.
Baha’u’llah wrote to the leaders of Christianity and told them he was the helper promised by Christ. Baha’u’llah then offered them all the proof they required. Baha’u’llah wrote “0h Christians, 0h Concourse of Patriot, 0h Concourse of Archbishops, 0h Concourse of Bishops, 0h Concourseof Priests, 0h People of the Gospel, 0h People of Christianity”, he wrote to them all. Baha’u’llahleft no one out from the whole world of Christianity. To those religious leaders Baha’u’llah said “Ye are the stars of the heaven of my knowledge. My mercy desireth not that ye should crawl upon the earth”. Baha’u’llah told them all, that he was the ‘Comforter’, the ‘Spirit of Truth’. He urged them to open their eyes to the truth. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come”.
Baha’u’llah spoke with the voice of God as Jesus had spoken before. Baha’u’Ilah wrote over 100 volumes in all aspects of life. He gave answers to the critical problems facing humanity. Baha’u’Ilah did indeed guide men unto all truth and Baha’u’Ilah spoke as Christ said he would speak, as bidden by the Almighty. Baha’u’llah told us that this message was greater than himself, that it came from God. Baha’u’llah addressed the leaders of humanity and urged them to put into effect these teachings and the laws of God for the protection, betterment and welfare of all mankind. Baha’u’llah rebuked the Christians for their neglect. He said “Purge ye not the words of Jesus concerning the Spirit of Truth. Why then when i came unto you, did you turn aside from me” ?
Prophecy: John Ch 16: v 14
“He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you”.
Baha’u’IIah did just that, he took the pure teachings of Christ and he showed the world their wonderful meaning and their application for today. Baha’u’llah glorified the goodness of Christ. In one book alone, there are over 100 references to Jesus Christ, all glorifying Jesus. This is just one verse from the pen of Baha’u’llah regarding Jesus. “We testify that when he, Jesus Christ, came into the world, he shed the splendor of his glory upon all created things. Through him the leper recovered from the leprosy of perversity and ignorance. Through him, Christ, the unchaste and the wayward were healed. Through his power, borne of the Almighty God, the eyes of the blind were opened and the soul of the sinner sanctified. He, Christ, it is he who purified the world. Blessed is the man, who with a face beaming with light that turned unto him”.
When Baha’u’IIah reached the Holy Land, as a prisoner and an exile, he referred to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ. Go with he, Baha’u’llah, the Glory of God, the return of Christ standing in the Holy Land, the place promised for him in the last days on the mountain of God. He had fulfilled all of the prophecies, yet the people sought only his destruction as they had sought that of Jesus before him. Baha’u’llah cried out “0h Bethlehem, this light hath risen in the Orient, the East and traveled toward the West, until it reached thee in the evening of its life. Tell me then, do the sons recognize the Father, Baha’u’lIah and acknowledge him or do they deny him even as the people of foretimes denied him, Jesus the Son ?”.
Prophecy: Micah Ch 7: v 12-15
“In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain”. “Notwithstanding, the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell herein, for the fruit of their doings. Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gil’e-ad, as in the days of old. According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvelous things”.
Baha’u’llah came from Persia, part of the Assyrian kingdom. Baha’u’lIah was exiled to the fortified city of Constantinople and then they finally sent him to the fortified city of Akka. This was the dreaded Turkish fortress of Akka. The kings thought surely Baha’u’Ilah would die there and would be heard of no more and that it would be the end of his religion forever. But God had other plans. These kings did not even realize that they were fulfilling the prophecies from the Old Testament, New Testament, the Quran and from all the Holy Books. They drove Baha’u’llah, the Glory of God to Israel, the Holy Land. They hoped to end His faith, All they really did was to fulfill prophecy after prophecy. They made Baha’u’llah’s faith stronger and stronger. The more they did to end the Baha’i Faith, the more they fulfilled the prophecies. When Baha’u’llah was eventually freed from prison, he went outside the city to a garden, now called the ‘Garden of Ridvan’. It was the garden that was surrounded by the ancient river of Balus. So we see that Baha’u’llah came from the fortress to the river, exactly as Micah had foretold. Micah also prophesied exactly how long God will have his Messenger, his Promised One, heed his flock in those last days. Micah says that God will show unto him, meaning the Redeemer, marvelous things. And how long will God do that ? Micah tells us it will be for 40 years. This is the link to the time the Jews spent coming out of the land of Egypt. Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasted exactly that length of time, 40 years.
The statement Numbers: Ch 23: v 23 where it said of Jacob and Israel “what hath God wrought” is the key to the mystery. In those words “what hath God wrought”, Mymenohi said would be found the key to the mystery. Prophecy at that time, Mymenohi continues, were returned to Israel and the prophets will say “behold, what hath God wrought”. On May 23 1844, Samuel Morris sent his first telegraphic message from Washington to Baltimore. The message was a quote from that book of Numbers, the exact same one mentioned by Mymenohi’s number 23:23 “what hath God wrought”. The very day, May 23 1844, the Baha’i Faith began in Persia.
During the 40 years of his mission, Baha’u’llah wrote over 100 volumes. He addressed letters to the kings and rulers of the world, to the leaders of mankind, to the heads of religion, to the people of these religions and to the peopleof the world, to scholars, philosophers, students, to leaders in the intellectual and political fields, even to humanitarians, no one was left out. For 40 years, God showed to Baha’u’llah wonderful things. Baha’u’Ilah shared these wonderful things, these teachings with all mankind.
Prophecy: Micah Ch 4: v 1
“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills, and people shall flow unto it”.
Baha’u’Ilah’s world center is established there on the site of the mountain of God. The supreme body which now represents the affairs of Baha’u’Ilah’s faith in over 500 countries, territories and islands is known by the name “House”. It is called the ‘Universal House of Justice’ of Baha’u’llah.
Prophecy: Habakkuk Ch 2: v 14
“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”.
That’s what Baha’u’llah’s name means, the Glory of the Lord. His teachings are already covering the earth as the water covers the sea, Thousands are entering beneath Balla’u’llah’s banner in every part of the planet these days. Many nations will flow to the ‘House of the Lord’ said Micah”and the law shall go forth from that mountain”. The nations will come and say “let us go up to the’House of the Lord’ and then God will teach us his way”. The prophecy of the ‘House of the Lord’ was fulfilled with the coming of Baha’u’llah. The House of the Lord is established as soon as Baha’u’llah appeared on that mountain. That is the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Baha’u’Ilah himself, on the site of that mountain called for a supreme democratically administrative body to rule the affairs of the world. He gave to the body its title, the ‘Universal House of Justice’. Baha’u’Ilah made it for all times a ‘Holy House’, divinely guided and protected.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 9: v 7
“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this”. them “the most great law is come and the Ancient Beauty ruleth upon the throne of David. Thus hath my pen spoken, that which the history of bygone ages have revealed”.
This fulfillment of the House of the Lord means much more than the fulfillment of Baha’u’Ilah’s coming. It plainly means that this ‘House of the Lord’ would be a House in which the followers of the ‘Promised One’ would come and would work for the good of mankind in those last days. The remnant of God, those who believed in him would return to Israel and would work in the ‘House of the Lord’. It is called not only the ‘House of the Lord’ but also the ‘House of the Lord of Hosts’. On page 95 of the book ‘God Passes By’, we are reminded that the Lord of Hosts was one of the titles of Baha’u’llah. Of him, Baha’u’Ilah, David has sung in his songs acclaiming him as the ‘Lord of Hosts’ and the ‘King of Glory’. The Old Testament prophet Haggai, speaking of the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, chapter 1 points out that there would be trouble makers who would say “the time has not yet come for the Lord’s house to be built”. When that happened the Lord of Hosts warns such people saying “consider your ways”. How well that applies to those who say the same thing about the time not being right for the return of Jesus or the building of the House.
Prophecy: Haggai Ch 1: v 13 – 15
Then spoke Hag’gai the Lord’s messenger in the Lord’s message unto the people, saying, “I am with you saith the Lord”. Baha’u’llah raised up the house of the Lords, then called it the ‘House of Justice’. He said in Isaiah, that it would last down through the ages bringing to mankind, “justice from henceforth, even forever”.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 9: v 6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called ‘Wonderful Counselor’, ‘The mighty God’, ‘The everlasting Father’, ‘The Prince of Peace”.
That prophecy is read in churches on Christmas Day. The prophecy is taken to be a reference to Christ even though most of the things in the prophecy don’t refer to the person of Christ. Christ made it clear that this scripture does not apply to him. Christ said “Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar, and unto God the things that are God” Christ also said “My kingdom is not of this world”. But with Baha’u’llah, the government is on his shoulder. Baha’u’Ilah undertook the entire reorganization of human society. He provided the institutions necessary to maintain it as well as the authority and guidance for its future. There are Baha’i’s on local assemblies, national assemblies in all parts of the planet. There is an international democratically elected supreme administrative body called the ‘Universal House of Justice’ in the Holy Land. Christ said that his kingdom was not of this world. In the Lord’s prayer, Christ made it clear that the Kingdom of God was here on earth in the last days. “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”. The beginning of the Kingdom of God on the earth has already taken place. The Baha’i Faith guided by the teachings of Baha’u’lIah has already began to establish the Christ promised kingdom on earth in every continent, in way over 500 countries, islands, territories and in some 100,000 centers around the world.
Baha’u’llah himself wrote “Followers of the Gospel, the Father has come. That which ye were promised in the kingdom of God is fulfilled”. Yet another place in the Baha’i writings speak of Baha’u’Ilah’s Christ promised kingdom on earth. Almost all of these phrases, ‘Wonderful’, ‘Counselor’, ‘Mighty God’, ‘The everlasting Father’, ‘Prince of Peace’, Christ himself specifically refutiated. Its as though Christ wanted to make certain that such mistaken references to himself did not apply to the day that he would return. Christ disclaimed to be the Mighty God when he called himself, ‘Son of God’. Christ was not the ‘Comforter’. His message was a beautiful one of love to the individual to draw mankind back to God. Balla’u’Ilah on the other hand was the Comforter. His message was one of justice to all. Christ did not consider himself the ‘Father’. In many references such as “My father is greater than I” and “I do nothing of myself, but what the Father has taught me”. Christ made it abundantly clear that no prophecy about the Father was about him. Christ said specifically that the Father had knowledge which was possessed by the Son saying “But in that day and in that hour there is no man, lo, not even the angels which are in the heavens ruleth the Son but the Father”, although it is claimed that in most of these references, Christ is referring to God when he is speaking of the Father. Even so, Jesus made an equal claim that just as he,Christ, was speaking of the Son, the time had come in the last day when he, Christ, would return speaking of the Father.
These words were written by Baha’u’llah to one of the heads of Christianity, Pope Pius IX of Rome, “The word which the Son, Jesus, concealed, is now manifest”. It has been sent down in the form of a human temple in this day. Blessed be the Lord who is his Father. He, verily, is come unto the mission in his ‘Most Great Majesty’. This is the day whereon the rock Peter crieth out and shouteth “Lo the Father is come, and that what would be promised in the kingdom is fulfilled.
Jesus in Matthew Chapter 10: v 34, said plainly “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth, I came not to send peace, but a sword”. Baha’u’Ilah on the other hand did come to send peace on earth. Baha’u’llah gave us the laws, the principles, the agencies and the teachings in as many volumes in his writings so that world peace could be established and permanently secured for all men. Professor E. G. Browne of Oxford University who met Baha’u’llah in Israel said, “The war shall pass away and the Most Great Peace will come”. On page 25 of ‘The Promised Day is Come’, Baha’u’Ilah says, “0h Rulers of the earth, be reconciled among yourselves, that ye may need no more armaments save in a measure to safeguard your territories and dominions. Beware lest ye disregard the counsel of the All-Knowing, the Faithful”. “My object is none other than the betterment of the world and the tranquillity of its peoples. The well being of mankind, its peace and security are unattainable unless and until its unity are firmly established”.
In the book, ‘Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah’, page 249 – 250, Baha’u’llah, speaks again of world peace, words written over 100 years ago. “The time must come when the imperative necessity for the holding of a vast and all-embracing assemblage of men will be universally realized. The rulers and kings of the earth must needs attend it, and, participating in its deliberations, must consider such ways and means as will lay the foundations of the world’s ‘Great Peace’ amongst men. Such a peace demandeth that the Great Powers should resolve, for the sake of the tranquillity of the peoples of the earth, to be fully reconciled among themselves. Baha’u’llah warns the kings of their downfall if they fail to heed to his counsel. In that same book, Baha’u’llah also addressed the democratic bodies of the world, calling upon them to build that same peace and unity, “0h ye the elected representatives of the people in every Iand, take ye counsel together, and let your concern be only for that which profiteth mankind, and bettereth the condition thereof if ye be of them thay scan heedfully”. “That which the Lord hath ordained as the sovereign remedy and mightiest instrument for the healing of all the world is the union of all its peoples in one universal cause, one common faith”.
Baha’u’llah called mankind to the day of the one soul and the one shepard promised in the sacred scriptures. He wrote to the leaders of men, all the guidance, laws, the agencies, the institutions they needed to establish to preserve peace on earth. So Baha’u’IIah is indeed the ‘Prince of Peace’. Baha’u’Ilah also called to the establishment of a world body over a century ago. In fact, the charters of the United Nations whose primary aim is to establish and preserve the peace of the world have certain paragraphs that sound as though Baha’u’llah himself could have been the author of those chapters. Baha’u’llah addressed a message to the Pope himself and called upon him to leave the Vatican and proclaim the oneness of religion and the peace of mankind. Approximately 100 years later Pope Paul VI left the Vatican on a similar mission without knowing the source of his inspiration and probably blissfully unaware to the words of Baha’u’llah to his predecessors, Pope Pius IX proclaimed, “Lo, the Father is come and that which we were promised in the Kingdom is from Constantinople to Adrianople to Akka, the prison by the sea”, describing Baha’u’llah’s journey to that land spoken of by Isaiah and the prophet Hosea.
Isaiah said that this spot would be “a place for the heralds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me”. And the book of Songs spoke of the city of Akka, when David sangeth of the Strong City, “Who will bring me unto the Strong City” ?. Baha’u’llah as described on page 79 of ‘The Promised Day is Come’ addressed religious leaders saying, “Lend an ear unto the song of David he saith, who will bring me unto the Strong City ?. The Strong City is Akka, which hath been named the ‘Most Great Prison’ and “which possessth a fortress and mighty ramparts”. The prophet Hosea also spoke of this spot saying that it would be, (2,15 and 23) “And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope, And she shall sing there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt”. “And I will sow her unto me in the earth, And I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy, And I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people and they shall say, Thou art my God”. Abdu’l Baha tells us that this ‘Valley of Achor’ refers to the city of Akka. From ‘The Promised Day is Come’, page 76, “The time foreordained unto the peoples and kindreds of the earth is now come.
The promises of God, as recorded in the Holy Scriptures, have all been fulfilled”.”This is the Day which the Pen of the Most High hath glorified in all the Holy Scriptures. There is no verse in them that doth not declare the glory of His Holy Name, and no Book that doth not testify unto the loftiness of this most exalted theme”. In the ‘World Order of Baha’u’llah’,page 111-112, “All the signs hath been revealed, every prophetic allusion hath been manifested. Whatever hath been enshrined in all the scriptures of the past hath been made evident. To doubtor hesitate is no more possible, time is pressing. The Divine Charger is impatient, and can tarry no longer. Ours is the duty to rush forward and, ‘ere it is too late, win the victory”. So this is the day and this is the hour. Baha’u’llah said not to tarry at the gate.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 43: v 8
“Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled, who among them can declare this and show us former things, let them bring forth their witnesses that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, It is truth Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant who I have chosen that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour”. “Let them bring forth their witnesses that they may justify or let them hear and say ‘it is the truth’, and ‘I am the Lord’ and besides me there is no saviour”.
That’s the story of Baha’u’llah.
The writings of the Baha’i Faith declare “Above all, the healing message of Baha’u’llah must be vividly and systematically brought to the attention of the masses in their hour of grief, misery and confusion. There is no time to lose. The hour is ripe for the proclamation, without fear, without reserve, and without hesitation on a scale never as yet undertaken, of the one message that can alo extricate humanity from the morass into which it is steadily sinking and from which they who claim to be the followers of Baha’u’llah can and will eventually rescue it. But only if you truly believe in your heart in the truth of Baha’u’llah, that he is the redeemer of mankind. If you do believe, then we can all work together so that the sorrows and ills and unhappiness may be changed into joy, hope and confidence. That’s why Baha’u’llah came into the world, so that through him the world may become one world. So that all mankind may live together as one, in perfect harmony, peace, security and happiness. So that all men may know and believe in their hearts that God is one and man is one, and all the religions are part of this wonderful new day of God.
The members of all the National Spiritual Assemblies together elect the Universal House of Justice every five years. ‘Abdu’l Baha’ assures us that God has ordained the Universal House of Justice as “the source of all good and freed from all error”. Baha’u’llah assures us that the Universal House of Justice is under the protection and guidance of God at the ‘Seat of the Universal House of Justice’, Mount Carmel, Haifa, Israel.
GOD SHALL SEND A KING
‘PROPHECIES FULFILLED BY THE COMING OF ‘BAHA’U’LLAH’,
The ‘Promised One’:
Prophecy: Ezekiel Ch 43; v 4
“And the glory of the Lord came into the house by way of the gate whose prospect is towards the east”.
Baha’u’llah’s name in English means the ‘Glory of God’ and He did come to Israel from the east. Baha’u’Ilah’s birthplace in Tehran, Persia is directly east of Israel and he did come by way of the gate. Baha’u’llah, like Christ before him had a herald, a forerunner. Christ had John the Baptist, Baha’u’llah had a young man, a wonderful young man called ‘The Bab’ who was a prophet in his own right. He prepared the way for Baha’u’llah just as it was foretold it would happen in the scriptures. The Bab’s name when translated into english means ‘the gate’. Baha’u’llah, the ‘Glory of God’ came to the Holy Land from the east by way of the Bab (The Gate).
Prophecy: EzekieI Ch 43; v 2
“And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and his voice was like a noise of many waters, and the earth shined with his glory”.
Baha’u’llah, whose name means the ‘Glory of God’ came from the east. He wrote over 100 volumes. His name is known now in over 316 countries, territories and islands. And also in over 50,000 places in the world is his faith firmly established. All this has taken place in little over a 150 years. Imagine how the earth had shined with Baha’u’llah’s glory ! ‘Baha’, meaning ‘glory’.
Prophecy: Jeremiah Ch 49; v 38
“And i will set my throne in Elam, and i will destroy from thence the kings and the princes, saith the Lord”.
Jeremiah says this will take in the latter days, and where does Jeremiah say God will place this throne ? In Elam, which was once part of the land we know as Persia, the birthplace of both the Bab and Baha’u’llah. Baha’u’llah wrote many letters and messages to the kings of the world of that time. He warned them that they would lose their kingdom and their power if they did not do the work of God and protect their people. Well, they did not, and their kingdoms were destroyed. One can read this story in the book ‘The Promised Day is Come’. The kings were punished by their own heedless actions just as Baha’u’llah said they would be. Kingdom after kingdom fell just as foretold by Baha’u’llah and by the prophets of old. It happened as Jeremiah said it would happen, in the day when God would set His throne at Elam in Persia (Iran), and would destroy the wicked rulers.
Prophecy: Ancient Jewish Writings
“And then from the sunrise God shall send a king who shall give every man release from the vein of war, nor shall he do these things by his own counsel, but in obedience to the good ordinances of the mighty God”.
The Jewish author Joseph Kalusner in his book ‘The Messianic Idea in Israel’, explains that this king from the sunrise is without any doubt the king Messiah. Those are his words. Baha’u’llah came to Israel from the sunrise, being from the east. The world center of the Baha’i faith is established on Mount Carmel in Israel. The kingdom of Baha’u’Ilah has now spread into all parts of the world.
Prophecy: Ancient Scripture of Zoroaster
“If there is but one minute remaining in the whole world, i will send someone from the nation of Persia, who shall renew religion”. “When Persia and the other countries are taken over by the Arabs, i will choose one from the generations of the kings of Persia so that he will call the people of the world from east to west to worship one God”.
The Guardian of the Baha’i Faith, Shoghi Effendi tells in the book ‘God Passes By’, Baha’u’llah has descended from the line of the Sasanian dynasty of the kings of Persia (Iran). Baha’u’llah was also decended from Zoroaster. In the writings, Persia (Iran) has been given a special place in the last days. Although the Bible scholars couldn’t say why, they do say that “Persia (Iran) has a special place”.
Prophecy: Daniel Ch 12: v 1
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was anation even to that same time, and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book”.
Daniel, in these verses tells us about the coming of this great messenger of God. In the year 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith. Many of the Christian Bible scholars came to this same 1844 period for the return of Christ when they studied the prophecies of Daniel. And where did Daniel make all of these wonderful prophecies ? Daniel made these prophecies when he was in Elam, in Persia. Daniel said that Persia and Elam would be given as a place of vision in the latter days. Daniel wrote this in Shoshan, in ancient Persia. Shoshan was the capitalcity of Elam, the ancient land we know now as Persia or Iran. And another prophecy, is that of Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasting 40 years. It had begun in the ‘Black Pit Prison’ in Tehran, Persia, and ended with the passing of Baha’u’llah in the Holy Land of Israel some 40 years later.
Joseph Kalusner in his book ‘The Messianic Idea in Israel’ quotes R. Elyazar Betyhalis, another respected Jewish author as saying “the days of the Messiah will last 40 years”. Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasted exactly 40 years. Sir Edward Irving, a Christian clergyman and Bible scholar spent much time studying the prophecies about when Christ would return. He expected Christ to return in the 1843-1845 period. Edward Irving also wrote about the prophecy he had discovered in India about a religion that would come from the west and would possess the world in 40 years, and Persia of course is west of India.
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 24: v 3 (One of Christ’s promises regarding His return)
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, “tell us, when shall these things be, and what shall be the signs of thy coming, and of the end of theworld” ?
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 2: v 1
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come”. When the gospel of Christ is preached to all the nations of the world as a witness, the end will come and Christ will return.
That’s Christ’s own prophecy. This is what he told his disciples and through them, his followers in the years to come. This is what we should look for. When the gospel is preached to all the world, then will he return. In the years of the 1840’s, Christian Bible scholars began to become very interested in this prophecy. They were convinced that by the 1840’s the gospel of Christ had already spread to the entire world, so thereby meaning that Christ could return at any time soon. By 1844 the gospel was being taught even in the interior of deep Africa.
In his book, ‘Our Day in the Light of Prophecy’, written concerning the period of the 1840’s, Spicier, the author wrote that the gospel of Christ in his day had been spread to most of the inhabitants of the earth. A similar prophecy about the time of the return of Christ is given in the Book of ‘Mark’ chapter 13 v 10′ which informs us that, ”and the gospel must first be published among all nations”. This prophecy of Christ had already been fulfilled by the time of the 1840’s. By the year 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith, the gospel of Christ had been published widespread among the nations and had reached into almost every part of the world. In that same chapter of Mark 13 v 33, Christ told his followers to be awake and watch for that day. He said,”Take ye heed, watch and pray, for ye know not when the time is”. Now after more than a century many of the Christians are still waiting, although the Baha’i Faith began over 150 years ago and fulfilled so exactly this first promise of Christ.
Prophecy: Luke Ch 21: v 7 (Christ’s second promise)
And they asked him, saying, “Master, but when shall these things be and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass” ?
Christ warned them not to be deceived but to read the signs in the right way and to understand his words.
Prophecy: Luke Ch 21: v 2
“And they shall fall be the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled”.
Sometime after the crucifixion of Christ, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman emperor, ‘Tiget’, when the city was totally destroyed. It was plowed under and renamed. The Jews were banished. Many of them suffered as Christ had foretold, they fell by the edge of the sword. They fled, they were scattered and they were led away captive. When were the times of the Gentiles fulfilled ? After the Romans, the Muslims then conquered Jerusalem. The holy city was made forbidden territory for the Jews until what time do you think ? Until the year 1844. In 1844 a document called the ‘Edict of Toleration’ was signed. This Edict is also mentioned by Smith in his book ‘Miracle of Ages’. He points out that in the year 1844 AD the Muslims under the leadership of Turkey were compelled by western powers to grant religious toleration to all nations within their homeland for the first time in some 12 centuries. One may read about this in history. The Christian scholar, George Townsend, said that this prophecy about the time of the Gentiles was defnitely fulfilled by the year 1844, and by the signing of Edict of Toleration. Mr Townsend became a follower of Baha’u’ llah and became one of the Baha’i Faith’s most illustrious teachers and scholars.
Prophecy: Revelation Ch 11: v 2
“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not, for it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months”.
42 Months is 3.5 years or 1260 days. The Christian Bible scholars who were studying about the return of Christ agree that in prophecy a day is taken to mean a year. Thus these scholars took 1260 days to be 1260 years. At the end of that time, at the end of 1260 years, the times of the Gentiles would be fulfilled, so says the book of Revelations.
Prophecy: Numbers Ch 14: v 21
“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord”.
The meaning of Baha’u’Ilah’s name when translated into English means the ‘Glory of God’. After the Romans conquered Jerusalem, the Muslims were the next to conquer it and as George Townsend points out, “the strict exclusion of the Jews from their own land enforced by the Muslims for some 12 centuries was at last relaxed by the Edict of Toleration and the times of the Gentiles were fulfilled”. This Edict was signed in 1844 and that was the beginning of the ‘Baha’i Faith’. “and the year 1260 of the Muslim calendar is identical with the year 1844 of the Christian calendar”. The hour of Christ’s return was 1844, the beginning of the wonderful faith of Baha’u’llah.
Prophecy: Matthew Ch 24: v 15 (Christ’s third promise)
“When ye therefore shall see the admonition of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, stand in the holy place, who so readeth, let him understand”.
Prophecy: Daniel Ch 8: v 14
“And he said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”.
These things Daniel said would take place at the time of the end. Daniel described it as times, time and half a time, or in the language of prophecies, 3.5 years which equals 42 months or 1260 days. Daniel prophecises that 2300 days shall pass before the sanctuary be cleansed. Following this time all things would be made pure again. Before this time the people would have fallen into admonition, without love to God or man and they would be trouble makers, haters of their fellow man, all of the things we see in the world today.
But after 2300 years the sanctuary would be cleansed and the hopes of man would be restored again. Daniel rates Christ and Baha”u’llah together in these remarkable prophecies. That’s why the Bible scholars use these chapters not only to determine Christ’s first coming but also the time when Christ would return to the earth. Daniel said that from the issuing of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem until the cutting of the Messiah or the crucifixion of Christ, there are appointed 490 days or 490 years in prophecy. Both the cutting off of the Messiah, death of Christ and end of the admonition of desolation begin with that same decree to rebuild Jerusalem. Scholars determined that this was the decree of the emperor Artizorties issued in the year 457 and where was Artizorties from ? from Persia. Where did Daniel have his vision ? In Shoshan, capital of Elam in ancient Persia. When did Daniel say all these things would take place ? At the time of the end, a time which shows to be in prophecy 1844, the year of the birth of the Baha’i Faith.
A Christian scholar, E.B. Catimayi, in his book ‘Light for the Last Day’ says “from the first day of the Jewish month of Nisan in the year 457 until the first day of the month of Nisan in 1844, there are exactly 2300 years that have passed”. Baha’u’llah’s declaration to the world that he was the ‘Promised One’ was made in the Valley of the Tigress River, near to the site of the river Chobare, the place where the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel saw his vision of the ‘Glory of God’. In that valley, Baha’u’llah wrote his ‘Book of Certitude’. This book, Baha’u’llah said, broke the seal of the book referred to by Daniel. This book disclosed the meaning of those words which were destined by Daniel to remain closed up until the time of the end. The time of the end had come.
Prophecy: John Ch 15: v 26
“But when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me”.
Baha’u’llah did just that. He wrote often of Christ lovingly, tenderly, movingly. Baha’u’Ilah told the Christians that he, Baha’u’llah was that helper. These are just a few words which Baha’u’llah has written of Christ. “if ye be resolved to shed the blood of him whose coming Jesus Christ himself has announced, behold me standing ready and defenseless before you. Deal with me after your own desires. If ye be content on crucifying once again Jesus the Spirit of God, put me to death for he hath once more in my person and made manifest unto you, Deal with me as you wish, for I have vowed to lay down my life in the path of God”.
Prophecy: John Ch 16: v 7 and v 13
”Nevertheless i tell you the truth, It is expedient for you that i go away, for if i go not away, the ‘Comforter’ will not come unto you, but if i depart, i will send him unto you”.
Baha’u’llah wrote to the leaders of Christianity and told them he was the helper promised by Christ. Baha’u’llah then offered them all the proof they required. Baha’u’llah wrote “0h Christians, 0h Concourse of Patriot, 0h Concourse of Archbishops, 0h Concourse of Bishops, 0h Concourseof Priests, 0h People of the Gospel, 0h People of Christianity”, he wrote to them all. Baha’u’llahleft no one out from the whole world of Christianity. To those religious leaders Baha’u’llah said “Ye are the stars of the heaven of my knowledge. My mercy desireth not that ye should crawl upon the earth”. Baha’u’llah told them all, that he was the ‘Comforter’, the ‘Spirit of Truth’. He urged them to open their eyes to the truth. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come”.
Baha’u’llah spoke with the voice of God as Jesus had spoken before. Baha’u’Ilah wrote over 100 volumes in all aspects of life. He gave answers to the critical problems facing humanity. Baha’u’Ilah did indeed guide men unto all truth and Baha’u’Ilah spoke as Christ said he would speak, as bidden by the Almighty. Baha’u’llah told us that this message was greater than himself, that it came from God. Baha’u’llah addressed the leaders of humanity and urged them to put into effect these teachings and the laws of God for the protection, betterment and welfare of all mankind. Baha’u’llah rebuked the Christians for their neglect. He said “Purge ye not the words of Jesus concerning the Spirit of Truth. Why then when i came unto you, did you turn aside from me” ?
Prophecy: John Ch 16: v 14
“He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you”.
Baha’u’IIah did just that, he took the pure teachings of Christ and he showed the world their wonderful meaning and their application for today. Baha’u’llah glorified the goodness of Christ. In one book alone, there are over 100 references to Jesus Christ, all glorifying Jesus. This is just one verse from the pen of Baha’u’llah regarding Jesus. “We testify that when he, Jesus Christ, came into the world, he shed the splendor of his glory upon all created things. Through him the leper recovered from the leprosy of perversity and ignorance. Through him, Christ, the unchaste and the wayward were healed. Through his power, borne of the Almighty God, the eyes of the blind were opened and the soul of the sinner sanctified. He, Christ, it is he who purified the world. Blessed is the man, who with a face beaming with light that turned unto him”.
When Baha’u’IIah reached the Holy Land, as a prisoner and an exile, he referred to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ. Go with he, Baha’u’llah, the Glory of God, the return of Christ standing in the Holy Land, the place promised for him in the last days on the mountain of God. He had fulfilled all of the prophecies, yet the people sought only his destruction as they had sought that of Jesus before him. Baha’u’llah cried out “0h Bethlehem, this light hath risen in the Orient, the East and traveled toward the West, until it reached thee in the evening of its life. Tell me then, do the sons recognize the Father, Baha’u’lIah and acknowledge him or do they deny him even as the people of foretimes denied him, Jesus the Son ?”.
Prophecy: Micah Ch 7: v 12-15
“In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain”. “Notwithstanding, the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell herein, for the fruit of their doings. Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gil’e-ad, as in the days of old. According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvelous things”.
Baha’u’llah came from Persia, part of the Assyrian kingdom. Baha’u’lIah was exiled to the fortified city of Constantinople and then they finally sent him to the fortified city of Akka. This was the dreaded Turkish fortress of Akka. The kings thought surely Baha’u’Ilah would die there and would be heard of no more and that it would be the end of his religion forever. But God had other plans. These kings did not even realize that they were fulfilling the prophecies from the Old Testament, New Testament, the Quran and from all the Holy Books. They drove Baha’u’llah, the Glory of God to Israel, the Holy Land. They hoped to end His faith, All they really did was to fulfill prophecy after prophecy. They made Baha’u’llah’s faith stronger and stronger. The more they did to end the Baha’i Faith, the more they fulfilled the prophecies. When Baha’u’llah was eventually freed from prison, he went outside the city to a garden, now called the ‘Garden of Ridvan’. It was the garden that was surrounded by the ancient river of Balus. So we see that Baha’u’llah came from the fortress to the river, exactly as Micah had foretold. Micah also prophesied exactly how long God will have his Messenger, his Promised One, heed his flock in those last days. Micah says that God will show unto him, meaning the Redeemer, marvelous things. And how long will God do that ? Micah tells us it will be for 40 years. This is the link to the time the Jews spent coming out of the land of Egypt. Baha’u’llah’s mission on earth lasted exactly that length of time, 40 years.
The statement Numbers: Ch 23: v 23 where it said of Jacob and Israel “what hath God wrought” is the key to the mystery. In those words “what hath God wrought”, Mymenohi said would be found the key to the mystery. Prophecy at that time, Mymenohi continues, were returned to Israel and the prophets will say “behold, what hath God wrought”. On May 23 1844, Samuel Morris sent his first telegraphic message from Washington to Baltimore. The message was a quote from that book of Numbers, the exact same one mentioned by Mymenohi’s number 23:23 “what hath God wrought”. The very day, May 23 1844, the Baha’i Faith began in Persia.
During the 40 years of his mission, Baha’u’llah wrote over 100 volumes. He addressed letters to the kings and rulers of the world, to the leaders of mankind, to the heads of religion, to the people of these religions and to the peopleof the world, to scholars, philosophers, students, to leaders in the intellectual and political fields, even to humanitarians, no one was left out. For 40 years, God showed to Baha’u’llah wonderful things. Baha’u’Ilah shared these wonderful things, these teachings with all mankind.
Prophecy: Micah Ch 4: v 1
“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills, and people shall flow unto it”.
Baha’u’Ilah’s world center is established there on the site of the mountain of God. The supreme body which now represents the affairs of Baha’u’Ilah’s faith in over 500 countries, territories and islands is known by the name “House”. It is called the ‘Universal House of Justice’ of Baha’u’llah.
Prophecy: Habakkuk Ch 2: v 14
“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”.
That’s what Baha’u’llah’s name means, the Glory of the Lord. His teachings are already covering the earth as the water covers the sea, Thousands are entering beneath Balla’u’llah’s banner in every part of the planet these days. Many nations will flow to the ‘House of the Lord’ said Micah”and the law shall go forth from that mountain”. The nations will come and say “let us go up to the’House of the Lord’ and then God will teach us his way”. The prophecy of the ‘House of the Lord’ was fulfilled with the coming of Baha’u’llah. The House of the Lord is established as soon as Baha’u’llah appeared on that mountain. That is the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Baha’u’Ilah himself, on the site of that mountain called for a supreme democratically administrative body to rule the affairs of the world. He gave to the body its title, the ‘Universal House of Justice’. Baha’u’Ilah made it for all times a ‘Holy House’, divinely guided and protected.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 9: v 7
“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this”. them “the most great law is come and the Ancient Beauty ruleth upon the throne of David. Thus hath my pen spoken, that which the history of bygone ages have revealed”.
This fulfillment of the House of the Lord means much more than the fulfillment of Baha’u’Ilah’s coming. It plainly means that this ‘House of the Lord’ would be a House in which the followers of the ‘Promised One’ would come and would work for the good of mankind in those last days. The remnant of God, those who believed in him would return to Israel and would work in the ‘House of the Lord’. It is called not only the ‘House of the Lord’ but also the ‘House of the Lord of Hosts’. On page 95 of the book ‘God Passes By’, we are reminded that the Lord of Hosts was one of the titles of Baha’u’llah. Of him, Baha’u’Ilah, David has sung in his songs acclaiming him as the ‘Lord of Hosts’ and the ‘King of Glory’. The Old Testament prophet Haggai, speaking of the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, chapter 1 points out that there would be trouble makers who would say “the time has not yet come for the Lord’s house to be built”. When that happened the Lord of Hosts warns such people saying “consider your ways”. How well that applies to those who say the same thing about the time not being right for the return of Jesus or the building of the House.
Prophecy: Haggai Ch 1: v 13 – 15
Then spoke Hag’gai the Lord’s messenger in the Lord’s message unto the people, saying, “I am with you saith the Lord”. Baha’u’llah raised up the house of the Lords, then called it the ‘House of Justice’. He said in Isaiah, that it would last down through the ages bringing to mankind, “justice from henceforth, even forever”.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 9: v 6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called ‘Wonderful Counselor’, ‘The mighty God’, ‘The everlasting Father’, ‘The Prince of Peace”.
That prophecy is read in churches on Christmas Day. The prophecy is taken to be a reference to Christ even though most of the things in the prophecy don’t refer to the person of Christ. Christ made it clear that this scripture does not apply to him. Christ said “Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar, and unto God the things that are God” Christ also said “My kingdom is not of this world”. But with Baha’u’llah, the government is on his shoulder. Baha’u’Ilah undertook the entire reorganization of human society. He provided the institutions necessary to maintain it as well as the authority and guidance for its future. There are Baha’i’s on local assemblies, national assemblies in all parts of the planet. There is an international democratically elected supreme administrative body called the ‘Universal House of Justice’ in the Holy Land. Christ said that his kingdom was not of this world. In the Lord’s prayer, Christ made it clear that the Kingdom of God was here on earth in the last days. “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”. The beginning of the Kingdom of God on the earth has already taken place. The Baha’i Faith guided by the teachings of Baha’u’lIah has already began to establish the Christ promised kingdom on earth in every continent, in way over 500 countries, islands, territories and in some 100,000 centers around the world.
Baha’u’llah himself wrote “Followers of the Gospel, the Father has come. That which ye were promised in the kingdom of God is fulfilled”. Yet another place in the Baha’i writings speak of Baha’u’Ilah’s Christ promised kingdom on earth. Almost all of these phrases, ‘Wonderful’, ‘Counselor’, ‘Mighty God’, ‘The everlasting Father’, ‘Prince of Peace’, Christ himself specifically refutiated. Its as though Christ wanted to make certain that such mistaken references to himself did not apply to the day that he would return. Christ disclaimed to be the Mighty God when he called himself, ‘Son of God’. Christ was not the ‘Comforter’. His message was a beautiful one of love to the individual to draw mankind back to God. Balla’u’Ilah on the other hand was the Comforter. His message was one of justice to all. Christ did not consider himself the ‘Father’. In many references such as “My father is greater than I” and “I do nothing of myself, but what the Father has taught me”. Christ made it abundantly clear that no prophecy about the Father was about him. Christ said specifically that the Father had knowledge which was possessed by the Son saying “But in that day and in that hour there is no man, lo, not even the angels which are in the heavens ruleth the Son but the Father”, although it is claimed that in most of these references, Christ is referring to God when he is speaking of the Father. Even so, Jesus made an equal claim that just as he,Christ, was speaking of the Son, the time had come in the last day when he, Christ, would return speaking of the Father.
These words were written by Baha’u’llah to one of the heads of Christianity, Pope Pius IX of Rome, “The word which the Son, Jesus, concealed, is now manifest”. It has been sent down in the form of a human temple in this day. Blessed be the Lord who is his Father. He, verily, is come unto the mission in his ‘Most Great Majesty’. This is the day whereon the rock Peter crieth out and shouteth “Lo the Father is come, and that what would be promised in the kingdom is fulfilled.
Jesus in Matthew Chapter 10: v 34, said plainly “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth, I came not to send peace, but a sword”. Baha’u’Ilah on the other hand did come to send peace on earth. Baha’u’llah gave us the laws, the principles, the agencies and the teachings in as many volumes in his writings so that world peace could be established and permanently secured for all men. Professor E. G. Browne of Oxford University who met Baha’u’llah in Israel said, “The war shall pass away and the Most Great Peace will come”. On page 25 of ‘The Promised Day is Come’, Baha’u’Ilah says, “0h Rulers of the earth, be reconciled among yourselves, that ye may need no more armaments save in a measure to safeguard your territories and dominions. Beware lest ye disregard the counsel of the All-Knowing, the Faithful”. “My object is none other than the betterment of the world and the tranquillity of its peoples. The well being of mankind, its peace and security are unattainable unless and until its unity are firmly established”.
In the book, ‘Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah’, page 249 – 250, Baha’u’llah, speaks again of world peace, words written over 100 years ago. “The time must come when the imperative necessity for the holding of a vast and all-embracing assemblage of men will be universally realized. The rulers and kings of the earth must needs attend it, and, participating in its deliberations, must consider such ways and means as will lay the foundations of the world’s ‘Great Peace’ amongst men. Such a peace demandeth that the Great Powers should resolve, for the sake of the tranquillity of the peoples of the earth, to be fully reconciled among themselves. Baha’u’llah warns the kings of their downfall if they fail to heed to his counsel. In that same book, Baha’u’llah also addressed the democratic bodies of the world, calling upon them to build that same peace and unity, “0h ye the elected representatives of the people in every Iand, take ye counsel together, and let your concern be only for that which profiteth mankind, and bettereth the condition thereof if ye be of them thay scan heedfully”. “That which the Lord hath ordained as the sovereign remedy and mightiest instrument for the healing of all the world is the union of all its peoples in one universal cause, one common faith”.
Baha’u’llah called mankind to the day of the one soul and the one shepard promised in the sacred scriptures. He wrote to the leaders of men, all the guidance, laws, the agencies, the institutions they needed to establish to preserve peace on earth. So Baha’u’IIah is indeed the ‘Prince of Peace’. Baha’u’Ilah also called to the establishment of a world body over a century ago. In fact, the charters of the United Nations whose primary aim is to establish and preserve the peace of the world have certain paragraphs that sound as though Baha’u’llah himself could have been the author of those chapters. Baha’u’llah addressed a message to the Pope himself and called upon him to leave the Vatican and proclaim the oneness of religion and the peace of mankind. Approximately 100 years later Pope Paul VI left the Vatican on a similar mission without knowing the source of his inspiration and probably blissfully unaware to the words of Baha’u’llah to his predecessors, Pope Pius IX proclaimed, “Lo, the Father is come and that which we were promised in the Kingdom is from Constantinople to Adrianople to Akka, the prison by the sea”, describing Baha’u’llah’s journey to that land spoken of by Isaiah and the prophet Hosea.
Isaiah said that this spot would be “a place for the heralds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me”. And the book of Songs spoke of the city of Akka, when David sangeth of the Strong City, “Who will bring me unto the Strong City” ?. Baha’u’llah as described on page 79 of ‘The Promised Day is Come’ addressed religious leaders saying, “Lend an ear unto the song of David he saith, who will bring me unto the Strong City ?. The Strong City is Akka, which hath been named the ‘Most Great Prison’ and “which possessth a fortress and mighty ramparts”. The prophet Hosea also spoke of this spot saying that it would be, (2,15 and 23) “And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope, And she shall sing there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt”. “And I will sow her unto me in the earth, And I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy, And I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people and they shall say, Thou art my God”. Abdu’l Baha tells us that this ‘Valley of Achor’ refers to the city of Akka. From ‘The Promised Day is Come’, page 76, “The time foreordained unto the peoples and kindreds of the earth is now come.
The promises of God, as recorded in the Holy Scriptures, have all been fulfilled”.”This is the Day which the Pen of the Most High hath glorified in all the Holy Scriptures. There is no verse in them that doth not declare the glory of His Holy Name, and no Book that doth not testify unto the loftiness of this most exalted theme”. In the ‘World Order of Baha’u’llah’,page 111-112, “All the signs hath been revealed, every prophetic allusion hath been manifested. Whatever hath been enshrined in all the scriptures of the past hath been made evident. To doubtor hesitate is no more possible, time is pressing. The Divine Charger is impatient, and can tarry no longer. Ours is the duty to rush forward and, ‘ere it is too late, win the victory”. So this is the day and this is the hour. Baha’u’llah said not to tarry at the gate.
Prophecy: Isaiah Ch 43: v 8
“Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled, who among them can declare this and show us former things, let them bring forth their witnesses that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, It is truth Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant who I have chosen that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour”. “Let them bring forth their witnesses that they may justify or let them hear and say ‘it is the truth’, and ‘I am the Lord’ and besides me there is no saviour”.
That’s the story of Baha’u’llah.
The writings of the Baha’i Faith declare “Above all, the healing message of Baha’u’llah must be vividly and systematically brought to the attention of the masses in their hour of grief, misery and confusion. There is no time to lose. The hour is ripe for the proclamation, without fear, without reserve, and without hesitation on a scale never as yet undertaken, of the one message that can alo extricate humanity from the morass into which it is steadily sinking and from which they who claim to be the followers of Baha’u’llah can and will eventually rescue it. But only if you truly believe in your heart in the truth of Baha’u’llah, that he is the redeemer of mankind. If you do believe, then we can all work together so that the sorrows and ills and unhappiness may be changed into joy, hope and confidence. That’s why Baha’u’llah came into the world, so that through him the world may become one world. So that all mankind may live together as one, in perfect harmony, peace, security and happiness. So that all men may know and believe in their hearts that God is one and man is one, and all the religions are part of this wonderful new day of God.
The members of all the National Spiritual Assemblies together elect the Universal House of Justice every five years. ‘Abdu’l Baha’ assures us that God has ordained the Universal House of Justice as “the source of all good and freed from all error”. Baha’u’llah assures us that the Universal House of Justice is under the protection and guidance of God at the ‘Seat of the Universal House of Justice’, Mount Carmel, Haifa, Israel.
Bahaullah expressly sought inspiration from Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem, as far as I know.But,Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem categorically states that Muhammad sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam is the Final Rasool of Allaah(Final Apostle of God).
So, it is impossible to reconcile Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem and Bahaullah.
Prophecy: Revelation Ch 11: v 2
“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not, for it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months”.
42 Months is 3.5 years or 1260 days. The Christian Bible scholars who were studying about the return of Christ agree that in prophecy a day is taken to mean a year. Thus these scholars took 1260 days to be 1260 years. At the end of that time, at the end of 1260 years, the times of the Gentiles would be fulfilled, so says the book of Revelations. the year 1260 of the Muslim calendar is identical with the year 1844 of the Christian calendar”. The hour of Christ’s return was 1844.

I really do think that Christianity does not teach to banter and argue like this….i believe in debating, but to be honest i dont think any of you are capable of doing so. There have been many debates – a well known one is between Dr Willam Campbell and Dr Zakir Naik….another one is Pastor Ruknuddin Henry Pio debating with Dr Zakir Naik. I believe you all should google video/youtube search these two talks, and then realise that these two intellects (one from the islamic stance, and the other from the christian stance) go about finding similarities and differences. If anything, these two Christian scholars are very very very learned in their religeon…..its just a shame they get embarasd on national/international broadcast.

Jesus is no slave! He is the second person in the Trinity of the one true God.
The slave thing is the BIG difference in your religion and Christianity. Our religion says we are loved by God and are his children. Your makes you a slave. What an awful way to live your life it stunts you completely. I pray for you and all muslims to come to the true God and rid yourselves of slavery and begin living in the light of the love of God.

Islam makes you a slave to Allah.
In Christianity, we are adopted members of the living Christ, Jesus, Son of God.
The whole world need to understand that Our Lord JESUS is coming and that the lord will change the world. I am a christian and I believe in THE HOLY BIBILE and that is the only TRUTH EXIST TODAY. He’s not coming to convert us, He’s coming to save us and we will remain the same as what we are today as simple as that.
For one thing, your analogies about Jesus just don’t make sense. If in fact Islam/Muslims believe that when Jesus returns he is going to kill all the Jews and all the Christians. What’s your beef now? Why are you trying to kill them off today? What’s the rush?
You have ALL of the Middle East to live happily and in harmony with your Islam/Muslim brothers and by the way sisters. The Jews have a tiny strip of land that has been owned by Jews for 34,000 years before there ever was the ‘prophet’ Mohammad, and only a parcel of what they originally owned.
