Hello friends! I have a story I would like to share with you. But before I tell you what happened, please keep in mind that I am not saying what the woman on the bus told me is true. I am just doing my part in the war with Islam.
Well here is goes. Recently I was on a NY bus on a Sunday morning, and was sitting about five seats in on the right hand side of the bus. After numerous stops an old fashioned but well dressed woman entered the bus. She was old fashioned in the sense that she had on a bonnet with netting on it, while holding prayer beads. Judging from her appearance, I would have to say she was in her mid-fifties. As soon as she got on she started preaching about Jesus Christ, and how Americans have moved away from Christianity. Stating the country has taken a turn for the worse and needs to go back to its Judeo-Christian values.
The bus was more than half full, and as she was talking the passengers were divided into three camps. About one-third were laughing at her, the second-third were just listening to her, and the rest were not paying attention at all. As she slowly walked through the crowd, I noticed a small cross drawn on her forehead. Approaching my seat we made eye contact. At that moment she blew me a kiss, and said “You’re different. You are my messenger!” Well, her statement certainly surprised me! After that she just looked at me a did not say another word. Then she walked back to the front of the bus and sat down. About 15 minutes later I had reached my stop and walked past her. She just looked at me and nodded her head! Like I said strange…
time will tell
Chris, she’s right — you WERE her messenger. You’ve spread her message to your entire base of followers! As you know, I share her beliefs. As Christians, that’s our main purpose, is to spread the Word of God. She put it out there, you spread it. Sometimes we plant the seed, sometimes we cultivate, weed or water. It’s God who harvests.
AMEN !
While Logan’s role as spiritual messenger may be quite worthwhile, his other more industrious role of pointing to the house burning down is of more immediate concern.
Anyone who thinks that a burning house with children inside is not an emergent, urgent issue, or should be placed on a back burner while priority be given to spiritual messages, is responsible for those children getting killed. Metaphorically, and literally.
The problem of Islamic violence is the burning house. People’s bodies getting killed, maimed, tortured, and their material livelihoods ruined, all over the world (and increasingly in our own Western world) is the problem that needs to be addressed immediately.
If one has the time to do both simultaneously without jeopardizing either one, then by all means, keep on trucking. But it’s usually not that easy — particularly with massive, complex, deadly problems such as what we face with Muslims.
Hey Hesperado!
Where have you been?
“is the problem that needs to be addressed immediately.”
Exactly!
Islam sends Muslim souls to hell and creates for non-Muslims (and Muslim apostates, women, and little girls) hell-on-Earth.
Telling the truth about Islam saves the body; telling the truth about Christ saves the soul.
Yes, “house burning down” exactly, and not just metaphorically. No, really.
I am SO NOT surprised. Blessings
Isn’t it weird these little psychic connections that happen out of nowhere. I had a different one happen, it was nice. Some people can have magic-seeming perception.
Chris, she was an angel . . . I have had similar encounters, and have learned to recognize them. Count it an honor to be visited by one in human form . . .
It does sound very much like she was an angel!
There are different ones for different purposes, there are ministering angels around us everywhere!
I think Billy Graham wrote a book on angels!
Angels are males, but God can use any gender (humans) for messengers.
Angels are genderless…neither male nor female. They have no need to procreate, so genitalia is not required. The Bible refers to specific angels by name, not as he or she. We have simply chosen to give our male children the names of those angels (Michael, Gabriel, etc.).
no scripture says angels are genderless. you presumably got that from the scripture that says angels neither marry nor give in marriage. marriage is not the same thing as gender….Genesis 6 reveals that angels can procreate. so does the non-canonical book of Enoch. look up the passages. 🙂
I believe this was not an accidental meeting. My mom had experienced similar encounters in the past. You are an angel of light, Chris and we appreciate your observations and information. God be with you.
There are angles among us, Never doubt that God is with you Chris.
I’m sure there are a lot of prayers being said for you and your family mine included.
Chris, she was probably from the local loonie-bin, but that does not mean she is not an angel.
Sometimes angels take on these forms because it is easier to enter their physical bodies. They occupy them for short periods, on this earth, to send us important messages.
It sounds strange but it is true.
You are “her messenger”. It’s obvious.
Beware! Sometimes these entitities are the unfriendly kind. Always use caution. Muhammad didn’t and look how he ended up.
Demons, not angels, possess.
Angels don’t have messengers. The word angel means messenger. She was a perceptive human who chose you to speak those words to.
Quote:
As she slowly walked through the crowd, I noticed a small cross drawn on her forehead.
end quote.
Consider this.
There are many places in the world, wide as it is, in which this woman would be raped and/or murdered for just wearing the cross drawn on her forehead.
Just for that.
So true!!
God Himself speaks to us in many ways. There is His Book, The Bible, and there are other ways. To Native Americans, the birds, the animals, the trees, and all of nature gives us love, support, warning and wisdom….directly from the Creator of All. Seems to me you have received a “sign”, no matter what the laughers might say or think, and you’d best pay attention.
Christianity has always seen the good in all people — including non-Christians. The story of the “Good Samaritan” is about a despised minority giving care to a robbery victim who was of the majority race. Christians see all people as their neighbors and brothers, for whom they feel love and kindness.
Compare that with the Quran which calls non-Muslims filth – najisun — in Surah 9:28 and praises Muslims for enraging the unbelievers, saying that those who follow Muhammad are “ruthless to the unbelievers and merciful to one another.” (Sura 48:29) That kind of ideology has no place in the world today. We can all be messengers about that.
The devil and his cohorts have been let loose now in these `End Times` for a short while to do their worst!
They are working through Islam to make life difficult for the christians and the jews!
Murder and mayhem is their mission but they will soon be bound in the bottomless pit as Jesus Christ intervenes!
Read the prophecies in the book of Revelation!
Christianity does not see the good in people!!! Catholicism probably has, but not Christianity (Catholicism is not Christianity). The Bible says none is good! It says all have fallen and come short of the glory of God! It says there is none that doeth good, it says there is none righteous! In Romans Paul talks about the sin nature within man, the Adamic nature, sin that all are born with because of Adam’s sin (the first sin)! There is not good in man.
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
“seeing the good in people” means that as God values all, so do His people. Christ died for the ungodly.
And the works righteousness that afflicts Roman Catholicism pervades Protestantism, just in different dress.
Despite our best efforts, anywhere the Word of God is read, so is the Gospel, and where the Gospel is, there are Christians.
You are a messenger by the nature of your work, maybe she was just a channel to affirm what you are doing.
Yes, Satan’s Bible, also known as the Koran, or Qur’an, states that Muslims are “ruthless to unbelievers and merciful to one another.” This is yet another lie stated by Muhammad the Pervert.
The Crime Syndicate of Islam, the religion of the Muslims, has never been merciful but ruthless to everyone, includiing the Muslims. All we need to do is witness the ruthlessness that is occuring in backward Muslim Third World Countries. In Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Libyia, and in many other Islamic countries, Muslims are warring against and killing other Muslims.
Only stupid Muslims war against and murder their own people. Do you see Catholics and other different religions war against and kill their own people? You do not. Only Muslims are stupid enough to war against and kill each other.
Christians haven’t warred against each other on religious grounds since medieval times, and that was due to centuries of Islamic oppression, not the command of Christ.
That story gives me such a wonderful chill. Sometimes it seems our fight isn’t being heard or that we’re alone. This is good news for you and for all of us Chris!
Oh yeah – I can totally connect to this story. There are many *special people* in Hinduism & Islam & Buddhism & Jainism & Sikhism (the most common religions from where I was born, apart from Xianity, of course) who’ve felt the same about various such *strangest things*.
.
In fact the Hindu majority of my country is so *moved & touched* by such God-men (& in your case God-woman) that they throng the *Ashrams* & other such organizations.
.
There’s been David Koresh, Jim Jones who’ve been more famous (or infamous based on how you choose to look at them) – because they were here in the USA – and then there are millions of frauds out from the third-world hell-hole where I was born (India). The latter have only started making news recently, though.
.
Thankfully you didn’t end up sharing your personal info nor paying her money. If you truly believe God, you’ll definitely not lend an ear to the insanity & hate that these fools propagate – irrespective of whether they’re Hindu fools (like in my country) or (like in your case) Xian ones or (in more violent jihadi cases like anwar al-awlaki) Islamic ones.
.
NOTE: I don’t mean to disparage any religious person (myself & my family, included); I only mean to share a critical thought about religious fanatics & fools. Ergo, should any person take offense to these thoughts, he/she obviously is a tad too much religious that he/she has lost an individual identity & sticks to religion to identify oneself (not much dissimilar to the hundreds of jihadi muslims, IMHO). Critical thought & the freedom to criticize thoughts are the basic tenets of personal liberty; in the same plain, I’ll be more than willing to criticize Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs & atheists/rationalists – and most importantly myself (if I ever stoop to such stupidity of respecting any god-man / god-woman).
.
Peace

The danger posed by fanaticism depends on the foucs of the frenzy.
Someone devoted fanatically to “kill the pagans wherever you find them” (Qur’an 9:5) will vary drastically from someone whose zeal is focused on “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
But there’s a catch, isn’t there always one?
.
The catch is, it takes some effort & the latter (who zealously love one’s neighbor) are swayed to become the former. That’s point A.
.
Point B: If a Muslim is *thy neighbor* & if people follow this fallacious morality of “love & serve everyone”, then people end up becoming voluntary slaves of Islam.
.
And, it’s my greatest concern that, (thanks to the spineless swines like gandhi from my nation, India & the other fools that follow that maniac) this specific idea will lead to the down-fall of the Western civilization & life as we know it.
.
We must NOT TOLERATE the INTOLERANT. We must not LOVE those who HATE US (even if they’re our own brothers & fathers & sisters, let alone neighbors).
.
If someone engages in uncalled-for violence against us (the civilized human beings), we must mete the threat with far more violence & destroy the threat-causing maniac sub-human zombie. I don’t care if that zombie is a religious fanatic inspired by my native Hindu religion or a Xian one or an Islamic one. Any one indulging in uncalled-for violence, should be met with hatred, violence & force.
.
Love thy neighbor, if they’re deserving of such love. Rather “do unto others what you expect them to do unto you”. Hence, if I expect people to forgive me when I indulge in violence & intolerance, then I forgive those who are violent & intolerant. But I firmly expect people to treat me with violence & intolerance, if I indulge in violence & intolerance. And it’s okay if “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. I’d rather live in a civilized blind world than as a slave to a 7th century political-theocratic dogma.

You’re not that Last Apostle bloke are you Christopher?
Admin,
Interesting. As a skeptic, I tend not to take claims of the supernatural, religion, miracles or predestination seriously, but lets see what happens in this case.
You need not be a believer in religion to critique and assess religious structures, theology and doctrine, accurately.
EIB,
I never said, you have to be. I just think this might be interesting.
I just thought of something.
This is just my opinion. But I don’t care how good and spiritual this woman seemed to be. I would ask her one question: “What do you think of Islam and Muslims?”
The slightest indication of a wrong answer from her (you know, the usual prevarications and hemming and hawing and “not all are extremists” bullcrap we have all grown accustomed to hear, even from otherwise decent and relatively intelligent people) — and she’d be worthless to me, no matter what else ostensibly worthy that she may be saying and doing.
I don’t care either. She is detrimental to America.
In what way?
Hi Santiago,
By supporting Islam, and not warning her congregation to the dangers of it.
You’re referring to the UCC pastor in the other story, I think.
The most important thing Christian authorities can teach about Islam is that its god, its prophet, its doctrines and practices are radically different, even even diametrically opposed to, Christianity.
The worst piece of blasphemy to come from the multi-culti movement within the churches is the idea that Muslim Allah and God are the same.
The Christians who cannot invoke the Trinity, the Unitarians, are in a horrible position with respect to Islam.
They will convert to the Ummah in a second because they have no way of refuting the Muslim claim that the Christian God and their elemental spirit Allah are the same.
The strength of traditional Christian doctrines
will sustain Christianity provided they are known and repeated by the greatest number of Christians.
You are a messenger in your own way. I don’t recall where the passage is but it talks about a watchman who should be warning people are future events i.e. the evil of the anti-Christ religion (islam).
This is one (maybe someone else could help me out on this):
God said to the prophet Ezekiel, “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me” (Ezekiel:3:17). You should read Ezekiel 38 and 39 to see what is coming – and the Book of Joel.
Hi Chris, Thanks for sharing this incident with us. I’m confident that that woman touched your soul and heart very deeply with her simple faith and her boldness in expressing it to people she encounters. It doesn’t matter whether you are religious or not, she spoke the truth without fear and I think we all know it deep down. You are doing great work. I truly believe that this is a spiritual battle between good and evil, between light and darkness, and between truth and deception. We need God in this spiritual combat. May He be with you always and bless you abundantly.
You’re welcome, and thank you everyone!
Sounds like something that would happen in a dream, but this does seem a bit strange and cool.
Take it whatever you want…..you’re simply in The right way….don’t be bothered about the nature of the lady….she just want to tell you don’t stop, despite the obstacles and the coming obstacles.
Thanks princess! We are in this together!
Emm comments that “Christianity does not see the good in people.” To support his position, he quotes from Romans 7:18. Anyone familiar with the entire Letter to the Romans by the Apostle Paul knows that Paul is comparing a life of sin with a life in union with Christ Jesus. Emm quotes only the unfavorable part of the comparison. Paul’s “Christian” option, however, is much more positive. He concludes, “For I am certain that nothing can separate us from [God’s] love: neither death no life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below — there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is our through Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
As for seeing good in others, Paul writes, “The commandments — are summed up in one command, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'” (Romans 13:9) and “Accept one another, then, for the glory of God, as Christ has accepted you.” (Romans 15:7) and “My brothers, I myself feel sure that your are full of goodness, that you have all knowledge, and that you are able to teach one another.” (Romans 15:14) Q.E.D.
Emm, you are so silly and apparently very ignorant. Why don’t you read history. Catholics were the first Christians. In the beginning, Christians were called Christians, but because Christianity began to spread, St. Ignatius of Antioch changed the name to Catholic. Catholic means Universal. Emm, why not begin by looking up the “Papacy of the Holy Catholic Church” on internet? You’ll be very surprised.
Emm, by being ignorant, you can insult many people. But because I’m a Catholic, a Christian, I’ll forgive you.
Since, as you state, “catholic” means “universal” and therefore refers to all Christians, it is not synonymous with “Roman Catholic.”
Otherwise, “catholic” would mean (in part) “Lutheran,” and that would be heresy.
Be fair.
Hi Santiago, Just a clarification to the above: Truth Detector is correct about the meaning of the word catholic, it’s from the Greek “katholikos”- adj.& noun, meaning universal, general, all-embracing. This is why the church is called Catholic, her teachings are for all mankind at all times. The term Roman Catholic is simply to differentiate between the western and eastern rites.
Chris – your story sounds so familiar. On the subway I often saw/heard people preaching. I gained comfort from it. I felt God all over NYC all throughout the years I lived there – and I miss it so much. It’s strange that since moving to the “heartland” I just don’t feel the same love around me as I did in NYC. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Well, from experience, I can tell you it is not. I never felt a divine power in the air, all around me, like I always did in NYC. I wish I could go back. Say hi to the city for me!
Hi Jill,
I am sorry to hear that, there is certainly a unique vibe to the city. At least for me there is. It’s going to hit 99 today! lol!
Hang in there,
Chris
It is so encouraging to have God speak to our hearts through extra ordinary occurrences in what seems to be a typical day. Although one must also be careful not to raise the act of the communication above He who is communicating. We have to be careful to guard against any forms of mysticism in the church. There is a possibility the woman in the story boards a bus and delivers the message to whoever makes eye contact with her. There is also a possibility she was inspired by the Spirit of God to encourage you.
It may be best to take any occurrence (extraordinary or not) and find a way to glorify God. The kinetic act of glorifying God could deflect even potential mysticism assaults. Take the example of the encouragement and thought about our Lord that came from this article. You took what was felt to be an extraordinary occurrence and shared it with us provoking thoughts about our Lord.
