In an unfortunate turn of events, Lancaster Mayor Rex Parris has gone against his previous statement of not apologizing to CAIR, and has held a press conference to do so. Mayor, you were a shining star for a week, but no more.
CAIR, Muslim Leaders Welcome Calif. Mayor’s Apology for ‘Christian Community’ Remarks
Muslim civil rights group applauds mayor’s apology and ‘outreach to the diverse faith leaders in the city’
LOS ANGELES, Feb 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA), the Islamic Center of the North Valley (ICNV) in Lancaster and the American Islamic Institute of Antelope Valley (AIIAV) in Palmdale today welcomed an apology from a mayor in that state who recently said he is “growing a Christian community.”
Last week, CAIR-LA sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) calling for an investigation into a possible violation of the Constitution’s Establishment Clause by Lancaster, Calif., Mayor Rex Parris.

In his “State of the City” address, mayor Parris said: “We’re growing a Christian community, and don’t let anybody shy away from that…I need (Lancaster community) standing up and saying we’re a Christian community, and we’re proud of that.”
[Media reports indicate that Mayor Parris is now going to reimburse the city for its cost of putting on the event in question.]
On Monday, Mayor Parris held a news conference with religious leaders to apologize for his earlier remarks. In his statement, Parris said: “I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt excluded…I think that communities are robust and vibrant when we do everything we can to facilitate all churches, all religions, all faiths to have a robust, vital part of that community.”

Also on Monday, the Antelope Valley Human Relations Task Force voted unanimously to send strong letters of condemnation to Mayor Parris and to Lancaster Councilwoman Sherry Marquez, who recently made anti-Islam statements.

“We welcome Mayor Parris’ apology and his outreach to the diverse faith leaders in the city,” said CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush. “This episode demonstrates that we must all come together as Americans to uphold the constitutional principle of separation of church and state and to maintain the values of inclusiveness and fair treatment.”
Ayloush, your word games do not work with me. I am sure that you are for the separation of Church and state, but your terrorist supporting organization is not for the separation of Mosque and state.
“Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam … Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”
Before he backed down, I had asked that you call his office in support. Now I ask that you call and voice your disappointment that he has bowed down to a pro-Sharia Islamic organization. Please shower him with some “Logan Love”. His contact information can be found HERE.
As a reader who wote to Mayor Parris and encouraged him to stand firm against CAIR, I was disappointed at his caving in to their intimidation. Unfortunately, we have all concluded that it is easier to give in to a militant force than to get destroyed over a small matter. After proper conditioning the largest elephant can be managed by the gentle tapping of a small stick. CAIR and the Islamists may win these small battles through bullying, but they will never gain respect. The famous Ka'ba in Mecca contained an inscription long before Muhammad even arrived on the scene. It said: "He that soweth good shall reap joy; he that soweth evil shall reap sorrow; can you do evil and be rewarded with good? Nay, as grapes cannot be gathered from thorns." (Source ibn Ishaq's "The Life of Muhammad", page 86.)
Hey Logan, can you please check for malicious software? Each time I visit the blog my firewall reports about a trojan. Wasn't it malicious software that caused problems for your old blog? Who's behind it? Muslims?
I think it may be the adware that he is using. My anti virus blocks it and alerts me.
But it would be best to check, I agree
Hi Robin,
Thanks for the alert, but I have not see anything like that. Things got so bad on the other site, that Google shut it down. It is OK now though.
Thanks for the heads up!
Someone else just told me the same thing, I am pretty sure that it came from the ads on the left hand side, like Munz said. I removed them, please let me know if you still get a warning.
Thanks.
still getting the the same warning. Avast is killing the connection for me though.
I too have an an "infectation" alert from your site. It also wants to open Adobe, but visiting now, there were no apparent problems.
Very sad about Parris. Very ugly what happened in UC Irvine. The Muslims are determined to provoke. They were loving their little riot at UCI, you could see the determination and glee in their faces. They have no shame. And the authorities there were too easy on them. Disgusting scene.
Long live Israel! Long shall the USA support her and stand by her!
Thanks guys, I really do not have the computer knowledge, or money to continually combat this. I think that I will have to stop posting.
I personally don't care about the alerts,. Even if i don't post i pick up everything on an RSS feed through google. If I want to throw in my 2 cents, i come here and AVAST! stops the connection before it does any harm anyway.
Let me see if i can get a friend to look into it for you. The worst thing that can happen to all of us is that you stop posting.
I believe what your saying about CAIR is true. Ive heard a lot of scary things about this fundamentalist group but was wondering if there's any truth to their fundamentalist ideology. Do you know where I could get the audio clip of Ayloush saying the Koran is the highest authority in America? Do you think we shud also report CAIR to law enforcement, since that wud b the right thing to do as patriotic Americans?
Hi,
Law enforcement knows all about them, and several CAIR members have already been convicted. Hopefully it is just a matter of time until they are taken down.
Here is site that documents their actions.

Unfortunately, CAIR has deep pockets and they use them very effectively against spineless politicians.
This all boils down to one thing Logan, we either stand up as a people together or we are defeated by these terrorists in sheep's clothing.
Keep pushing the word sir!
I think that it is great that he apologized. Lancaster is not a Christian community, nor should it be. It is a community that should embrace all religions.
Embracing Islam is nothing more than a slow suicide for Western Civlization. All religions/cultures do not mix.
I was very pleased to search out this internet-site.I needed to thanks for your time for this glorious read!! I undoubtedly having fun with each little bit of it and I’ve you bookmarked to take a look at new stuff you weblog post.
