Reverend who Allows Mosque in Church’s Basement Responds to Logan’s Warning!

As most of you know I am not religious, but one of my goals is to unite members of all other religions and Atheists against Islam. Christians are the majority in America and we will need a loud voice from them to win this war. There are numerous articles on this site about Islam cuddling Churches, and yesterday an Islam supporting Reverend left this us the following comment:

Reverend Michael D. Rasicci of the Calvary Episcopal Church 222 S. Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL 60510-2564 said:

Nearly 25 years ago, depending on who’s telling the story, the Batavia, IL Islamic community was invited to use a large, partially unfinished room in the basement of the education wing of Calvary Episcopal Church, Batavia, in the Diocese of Chicago. When the community grew large enough that they could construct their own mosque, one group left to do so, but some of the originals remained behind and continue to this day to have their mosque in the basement far at the opposite end of the building from the church. There has never been any syncretistic worship, nor will there ever be, as long as I am the Rector. The relationship proved very important, I am told, after September 11, 2001, for the community as a whole. We have had a cordial and respectful relationship with them, and have been privileged to host delegations of Islamic visitors in a program designed by the Department of State. They have their services on Fridays, and some of the men come nightly for prayers, entering through the usual door, going down the stairs, and proceeding to the far south end of the building. There has never been a problem, except an occasional misunderstanding concerning use of other space in the vicinity of the mosque, and that because of the children not cleaning up after themselves. I was asked not long ago to address the community about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. A time has not been set, but I will do so. They will not accept it, but they need to hear it. Neither we nor they proselytize. The situation I inherited when I arrived on the scene as Rector in 2002 has been a very good one, and has fostered a different view of Islam, than that which is usually portrayed. If it were different, we would have parted company long before my arrival. It is possible to be respectful and welcoming without capitulating to them. As for Blessed John Paul II kissing a Q’uran, perhaps one must see it as a sign of respect for the people being visited, albeit over the top.

My response to the Reverend is the following:

Reverend,

You said: “has fostered a different view of Islam”. In other words you have admittedly placed yourself in a world of denial. Islam calls for the dominance of Christians, and the ultimate destruction of Christianity. Do you really believe the God of Christianity wants such a religion promoted in Church? Do you think Jesus would have supported Mohammad the rapist? Muslims are on a worldwide Sharia movement and here you are helping them, by sending out the message that Islam is not a threat to Christians. Do you want your future generations to be forced to live under Sharia Law? Have you even thought about that?

BTW, you continually pointing out that the Mosque is “far” away in the basement, does not make it right. It is still Church property. YOU did capitulate to them. What you are allowing is the equivalent of Jews allowing Nazis to set up shop in a Synagogue. You are helping the religion/ideology of the enemy advance, I urge you to rethink your position. Thank you.

The Reverend can be reached here. 630-879-3378 ext. 302 Please be respectful. Thank you.
