Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: ‘Islamophobia Is On The Rise”

Yesterday, NBA basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and actor/martial arts aficionado, Bruce Lee, “dropped” in the film classic, “Game of Death”, joined the chorus singing the “Islamophobia” song. But, seriously, folks, what Abdul-Jabbar is sharing publicly about his views on Islam is NO joking matter.

While calling into Katie Couric during her broadcast, Abdul-Jabbar did his part in the (mis)information war.

“I think Islamophobia is on the rise,” “I think Islamophobia is on the rise,” the former Los Angeles Laker said. “I think the best way to counter it is just communication, to let people who we are and what we believe in. It’s no mystery and it’s certainly nothing that we have to be fearful of.”

Come on Kareem, you mean the best way to counter “Islamophobia” is to say anything to cover for Islam. Just like your so-called prophet commanded!

PERMISSIBLE LYING

r8.2 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,

“He who settles disagreements between people to bring about good or says something commendable is not a liar.”

“I did not hear him permit untruth in anything people say, except for three things: war, settling disagreements, and a man talking with his wife or she with him (A: in smoothing over differences).”

When you speak of morals, is that what you mean Kareem?

Koran verse 004.092

YUSUFALI: Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased’s family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom.

Would you like to be a slave in the name of Islam? Slavery is ALWAYS wrong no matter what ideology espouses it! Islam included.

If you feel like sharing YOUR perspective & thoughts on Kareem’s vocal support of Islam, he can be reached by clicking on the link provided HERE.

Katie: “What do you, Kareem. Get out of Islam?”

Kareem: “I get a moral anchor.”

    Mobamad: “Bullshit!”

Islam is the religion of anti-morals.

A moral anchor are you kidding? What waters were you in when you need an anchor of morality from a pedophile? What morality? Men good, woman bad? You are sadly, badly and so poorly misdirected.

You did it because we “feel” it’s right? Let’s not go with feelings, but with facts. One fact is that under Sharia law they treat women like dirt. They have Zero Tolerance for other religions. They can not tell time or the Call to prayer could be done with a watch. Also Kareem, why have you not spoken out against terrorism? Kareem, why do you not speak out against Slavery by Muslims? It was the Muslims who sold Africans out of Africa. Malcom X used Islam so he could use others like you and he used Islam so he could play the victim. You have a voice so rather than complain and make accusations of Phobia why not address those who caused people to become concerned by their actions!

    • Hassan

So christianity did not do the same thing huh? And christians treated their women just as bad and enslaved Africans not just Islam!

      • New Crusader

You admit that muslims mistreat women and enslave Africans

        • Cameron

And what, you don’t admit that Christians in the united states had slaves and treated women badly??? C’mon buddy, just a little brainwashed?

          • admin

I condemn that slavery. Islam still allows slavery. But you say nothing….

          • eib

I think “had slaves” is the operative term.

  • bobbyd

Education will cure ‘islamophobia’? We get ‘educated’ every day about islam in the news and it’s an ugly picture that is painted and I’ve yet to hear any moslem of any stature in the moslem community stand up and criticize these actions let alone organize resistance within the islamic community to oppose these actions! As the Prophet said, ‘[T]he tree shall be known by it’s fruit’!

Sorry Kareem, we’re not that stupid.

  • http://www.therightopinions.com Mark

Radical Islam is something to be very afraid of…
And that includes everyone, even you Kareem, because if you are not willing to espouse the beliefs of your radical fellow believers, you will be no better off than a Christian like me.

    • Tonto

Right! If 9/112001 in New York City didn’t teach the world that islamiphobia(fear of islam) does make perfect sense, the 16,685 islamic attacks of others should fill in any gaps. Think about that. 16,685 jihadi attacks, killing people at a rate of 30 or 40 attack PER WEEK!!!! Oh yeah, anyone who doesn’t fear these super violent lunatics is an idiot, and FINALLY, the people of the world are awakening to this perfectly reasonable fact. Wait til “payback” time rolls around.

Kareem Abdul Jabber‘s assertion that non-Muslims need not resist the Islamization of America is absurd if one examines Islamic edicts as written down in the Koran, Hadith, and Sharia. Although Kareem may be a good person (which I believe he is) and may harbor no ill feelings toward non-Muslims, his interpretation of Islam is dead wrong. If anyone listens to any Imam in or outside of America, the goal of Islam is to eliminate any edicts other than Islam and Islamic Law. Islamic or Sharia Law is buried in a barbaric seventh century mentality of might makes right and denial of individual rights.

Let’s take a look Islam: PERMISSIBLE LYING
r8.2 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,
“He who settles disagreements between people to bring about good or says something commendable is not a liar.”
“I did not hear him permit untruth in anything people say, except for three things: war, settling disagreements, and a man talking with his wife or she with him (A: in smoothing over differences).”

In the mind of a Muslim discarding our Constitution for Sharia Law is a good and commendable thing. So saying something good about Islam, even if it is not true such as that Islam tolerates other religions, is a good and commendable thing. Islam’s goal is to conquer the world and eliminate all other faiths by any means, including murder. So to lie to an infidel (non-believer of Islam) is a good and commendable thing if the lie about the real Islam.

Here again it talks about “believers” (of Islam). What about the “non-believers?” Are they excluded from all moral edicts as if those who do not believe that Allah is the true god are not human? That is true and is exactly how a Muslim looks at those not of the Islamic faith. Killing a non-Muslim can’t be considered as murder, since murder is defined as the killing of another human being. Islam preaches good thing in consideration of other Muslims but not so of others. Fearing the goal of Islam is not a phobia. It is prudent acknowledgment of a real threat to our freedom, liberty, and self determination.

There is nothing in the content of the Muslim scriptures or doctrine that requires a Muslim to tell you the truth about anything.

They sure know how to lie. The sad thing is liberals have been misdirected and lied to about Islam since the Saudis fund and control what is taught in our universities in the departments for Middle East studies. That is why we were surprised by 9-11 and didn’t know what hit us and now the politicians are still saying Islam is a religion of peace…and our President Obama grew up as a Muslim and probably still is one because he is doing everything to protect and promote Islam.

  • desertscout

I noticed that he mentioned that American Muslims could practice their faith differently here in the US than they would be able to if they lived in an oppressive ME country. Perhaps American Islam could be considered a hybrid of Middle Eastern Islam except for the fact that Saudi Arabia is spending millions of petrodollars in the US to Wahhabi-ize as many American mosques as possible.

    e.g.
“A study conducted by the NGO Freedom House found Wahhabi publications in mosques in the United States. These publications included statements that Muslims should not only “always oppose” infidels “in every way”, but “hate them for their religion … for Allah’s sake”, that democracy “is responsible for all the horrible wars of the 20th century”, and that Shia and certain Sunni Muslims were infidels.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahhabi
(I don’t usually like to use Wiki, but this is well documented information)

Nidal Hasan’s family described him as a proud American, and a dedicated and pious Muslim shortly after his murders. Many more American Muslims have been and continue to be radicalized on a frequent basis, so it is clear that America no longer insulates American Muslims from the tyrants and tyranny of the oppressive regimes in the ME.

The lamest statement was that Islam was given as the last ‘revelation’ and that makes it more correct to Kareem. Whatever floats his boat. However, people standing up against Islam due to a new gained knowledge of its dangers does not necessarily qualify as Islamophobia. Islam is not under persecution because it is a strange religion; Islam is being scrutinized because of what an increasing number of American Muslims are claiming. Their mantra is literally becoming deafening, and their ulterior motives strike me as intending to establish just another evil tyranny. Nothing new under the sun there!!!

    • AmericanMe

As A Christian I was horribly offended by his blasphemy. Jesus taught love, Mo taught murder, rape, torture and hatred. Mo was the prophet of Satan.

That’s not just a lame statement. That is Muslim doctrine.
If one is a Muslim, there is nothing blasphemous in it.
The more a Westerner knows about Islam, the more familiar he becomes with it, the more repulsive he/she should find it.

In the UK there is a group of us,generally a mixed bunch of Brits who are totally committed to a programme designed to bring about public awareness of the utter incompatibility between orthodox Islam and a modern Western democracy, including traditional British values such as freedom of speech, equality of gender and most importantly free-will. We will have a website and the leaflets and booklets which will be produced in thousands will outline parts of Islamic theology which are totally at odds with our culture and constitution.

Itis also designed to make the public aware of the unpalatable parts of shari’a and point out that it contravenes almost everything in our centuries-old English law.In the UK it is vital that we turn IRRATIONAL fear of and aversion to Islam(Islamophobia) into RATIONAL,REAL FEAR of this monstrous inhumam so-called religion, in reality a left-wing fascist cult/political movement only equalled in history by Nazism!!

    Chris,

You might be interested to learn that way back in 1973, one group of black Muslims (the news reports do not specify if they were ordinary Sunni Muslims, or Nation of Islam Muslims, but they do mention the victims were “Hanafis” which is a Sunni branch) massacred the entire family of another group of black Muslims, in the Washington, D.C. area.

Guess whose house that black family was staying in? Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s house!

According to this story about it, apparently Kareem was totally shocked by the event and was in L.A. at the time. (The article also mentions that Kareem is a “Hanafi”.)

    Link:

    http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,946751,00.html

The above article also recounts how four years later in 1977, one of the two splinters of black Muslims (I believe the “Hanafi” victims) took three buildings hostage:

Because a film about Mohammed premiered in Washington, D.C., on March 9, 1977, a group of Muslims protesting its “blasphemous” portrayal of Mohammed attacked three buildings in downtown Washington D.C. and took 149 people hostage. Thirty-nine hours later, the siege was over — a reporter was dead and dozens of hostages had been stabbed, beaten or shot.

Unfortunately, the West, including America, will have to suffer not just one but many attacks as bad as 911 if not worse over the coming decades before the Great Lion wakes up to put out the lights of this pernicious fly that is bothering it.

        • admin

Will another massive attack make non-Muslims aware of the threat of stealth jihad though?

          • Roger Anderson

No, it won’t. Many will still be in denial even when it has entered their homes and will bow down to it instead of doing what is right and necessary. As it has been many times before they will simply sit there and say that someone should have done something while others do the work.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Islam is the world’s fastest-growing religion by number of conversions each year: Although the religion began in Arabia, by 2002 80% of all believers in Islam lived outside the Arab world. In the period 1990-2000, approximately 12.5 million more people converted to Islam than to Christianity.[24] Part of the books quote can be seen online from this extract from Google Books.[24] This was again shown in the 2005, 50th anniversary edition of Guinness Book of World Records, although the number of conversions was not mentioned this time.[25]

In 1990, 935 million people were Muslims and this figure had risen to around 1.2 billion by the year 2000, meaning that around this time one in five people were followers of Islam. According to the BBC, a comprehensive American study concluded in 2009 the number stood at 1 in 4 with 60% of Muslims spread all over the Asian continent: A report from an American think-tank has estimated 1.57 billion Muslims populate the world – with 60% in Asia.[26][27] The report was done by the Pew Forum Research Centre.[27] The forum also projected that in 2010 out of the total number of Muslims in the world 62.1% will live in Asia.[26]

However the report also included a statement saying While the global Muslim population is expected to grow at a faster rate than the non-Muslim population, the Muslim population nevertheless is expected to grow at a slower pace in the next two decades than it did in the previous two decades. From 1990 to 2010, the global Muslim population increased at an average annual rate of 2.2%, compared with the projected rate of 1.5% for the period from 2010 to 2030.[26] The report also made reference to the fact that Muslims are estimated to make up 23.4% of the total global population in 2010 (out of a total of 6.9 billion people) and that by 2030 Muslims will represent about 26.4% of the global population (out of a total of 7.9 billion people).[26]

The Pew report also highlights that there is insufficient data available on religious conversion from its own findings given the complexities of identity and the difficulties of obtaining data: Statistical data on conversion to and from Islam are scarce. What little information is available suggests that there is no substantial net gain or loss in the number of Muslims through conversion globally; the number of people who become Muslims through conversion seems to be roughly equal to the number of Muslims who leave the faith. As a result, this report does not include any estimated future rate of conversions as a direct factor in the projections of Muslim population growth.[28]
