Sharia has been used in US Courts, and Muslims are never going to stop pushing. Is your plan to wait until things get as bad here as they are in the UK, before you take a stand against Islam?

The difference is in the practice.
Do you see, in Western Christendom in the present day,
1. killing of children for cursing parents
2. slavery
3. stoning of wives
4. stoning of women for not being virgins
5. murder of apostates
I don’t see it in the West.
I do see it in Islam.
The realities of the present and the progress of Western Civilization for the past 500 years invalidates your argument.

Not true.
Christians also have something called tradition, which is the sum total of doctrine, dispute, interpretation and history of the church.
If Christianity were the Bible alone, then all Christians would be fundamentalist in the stripe of someone like Pat Robertson.
Even in our critiques of Islam, we understand that not all Muslims interpret or live their religion in the same way. Still it is the fundamentals of Islam that are dangerous and should be evaluated and questioned– because they, in effect, create Islamic fundamentalists.
I have yet to see Christian fundamentalists plot and bomb skyscrapers, provoke two wars of aggression, and bring down systems of law and custom all over Europe.

No, we are not united against Islam. There is agreement that the Constitution is the supreme law of the United States, and that any judge who followed Shariah law in contradiction to the Constitution should have his holding reversed. But no one is advocating that judges should be able to do this. There is a difference between “consdering” Sharia law and being bound by it.
