Both the people defending and attacking Islam seem to resort to name-calling and underhanded jabs to try to get their point across, and I'm sorry, but that just seems malign. I may not be fluent with the religions of the world, but I've met people of all different faiths and ethnic backgrounds: Muslims, Christians, Jews, Pagans, Wiccans, Athiests, Scientologists, etc. All the religions on this planet are good, but can be manipulated by the followers to meet their wants. There are bad muslims just like there are bad christians, and there are bad Americans just like there are bad Iraqis, and Russians, and Indians and so forth. The girl should not have been hired if the hajib violated the look policy. The look policy itself isn't a problem. I work at Abercrombie and can't wear my Led Zeppelin shirts or my jeans that have been torn apart by skating and other sports, but I adhere to the policy because that's my job. But I still wear my Vans and proudly show my tattoo because Abercrombie lets me. They let her wear her hajib, because like my tattoo, it's apart of her. But because a DM felt like it was against a policy that never expressly stated such, that girl was fired, and I think that's just wrong.
