Everyone chill.
Islam is a little messed up when they tell other faiths not to publicize it because it is against their own. Straight up, not fair. If they can wear head scarves and gowns to show their faiths I have no problem, but do not tell us we cannot wear a CROSS NECKLACE, our faith doesn’t have RULES hating on other faiths. That’s what real religion is about, in regards to this story. I admit Abercrombie has its problems this story does not provide adequate information as to if she was given a warning to her dress code. Upon the hiring process she was given a handbook, Abercrombie has an image and thats what sells. Any basic marketing knowledge would understand this principle. Stop fighting about religion it’s a never ending battle, and a hole that never can be fully dug. The worker knew the requirements of the workplace, and if she was against it she should have filed some sort of request to be excused. Not a problem. In Canada we are very diverse, there are always going to be problems, but the Islam community not being able to live in an American country and abid by the rules we would adapt to if we were visiting in their community is unjust and unfair. The Muslim community tried to change the Canadian Flag into something more multicultural, as the image was so “Canadian,” HELLO! You live in Canada.

A muslim in my local Target threatened to kill me and my entire family because i was wearing a cross. Hows that for infringing on “religious freedom” for ya. No not fire me (I didn’t work there) KILL ME AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY! Muslims are trying to push a ban the wearing of the cross all over Europe and the US How’s that for religious freedom for ya. PS: she WAS NOT fired for her faith she was fired because she did not promote the company image. We should still have the right to run our business for profit. Why would a “pious” muslim choose to work in a store that promotes a lifestyle that is unislamic? Maybe to help CAIR with it’s fund raising activities via lawsuits?
