You talk about reason.
In the case of Islam, reason is useless– their entire intellectual system is based on faith.
They disparage and discourage reason.
Their culture lacks the products of reason– and excellent historical arguments have been made about why this is so.
You claim reason.
If I were you, I’d get to work studying history.
Not just from the Muslim standpoint, but from the Western standpoint specifically.
Realize that people do not think in the same way, and those who eschew reason make themselves even more divergent from humanity.
Islam is anti-humanistic.
If you are a Christian, and if you are honest with yourself, you must say out loud that Islam is profane.

Not much of a student of history.
Are you saying that the combined fleet that met the Turks at Lepanto were not Christians?
Are you saying that Charles Martel was not Christian?

There’s more than Christianity at stake here.
There is a 7,000 year old culture that is threatened by one of 1,400 years.
If you do not see the gulf between Islam and the West and the collision course we are on, you have not been paying attention.

And most of you folks here have exhibited as much hostility as the hostile individuals of a Muslim variety. I mean, really, gleaner1, you’re no better than the individuals you condemn. You show that if people do not agree with you, that a consensus of hostility is justified by the popular vote. You think you have a right to hostility because most of you are so-called “Christians.” Too bad you disobey the Bible. That whole “love your neighbor as yourself” thing is something you folks just don’t truly live up to. You people will never know the ways of true peace this way you operate–peace is not truly your nature. You have shown your hearts too well. If you can’t win with reason and character, you just can’t truly win.

If kids were singing a song about Ramadan, and they’re trying to sing songs that are representing the different faiths of the world, then they did nothing wrong if the song was a song sang in Ramadan. They were quoting a song, speaking as someone who keeps Ramadan–they were not paying worship to Allah. Though, I think people look for things to be offended about, but never consider the offense they themselves commit. You have to play by the rules.

I don’t know how many non-”Christians” sing “Christian” Christmas carols and advertise to the “Merry Christmas” greeting just to fit in and make a living, say a “Christian” pledge of Allegiance and follow a “Christian” constitution devised mostly by Christians” centering equality by their “God,” and take oath on a Bible in the American courtrooms. If you want hypocrisy to end, you’ve got to take the end it with yourself first. If they don’t want to offend anyone, then sing ONLY about Christmas or not about Christmas at all–can’t be on both sides of the principle.

I for one do not keep Christmas. I am not Muslim, nor “Christian” nor any other recognized religion out there. I get bombarded with “Christmas cheer,” with Christmas-keepers trying hard to make me somehow participate with Christmas. They’ll wish me a happy holidays, sometimes even knowing my position about them. I don’t have a parade announcing it, but my not keeping holiday is no secret with me. I can’t help but see the hypocrisy of most of you here. Many Muslims do try to convert the world, but so do many “Christians.” I recall Christ telling anyone who wants to truly follow him to first get the plank out their own eye before going around attempting to remove the speck in their brother’s eye. I’d advise you to start actually taking this advice.

The Allah of the Quran is not the God of the Bible.
And certainly Allah is not anything to do with Christian concepts of Christ, God, Salvation, and truth.
