Please Help Congressional Candidate Lynne Torgerson Defeat CAIR Supporter Keith Ellison

I am grateful to live in the country that is the safest, most free, and most prosperous on earth. I believe in the American Dream. It is my desire that America and Americans be both prosperous and protected. I believe in a strong homeland security and keeping jobs in America. I would like to eliminate dependence on foreign oil, develop clean energy, but not develop nuclear energy. I am green with respect to the environment (and animals), and oppose cloning and genetically altered food. On social issues, my positions are consistent with the Catholic church, such as life beginning at conception and traditional marriage, but I also support equal rights for women. I am also big on freedom of speech and freedom of religion, as establishment by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, and feel that Islam has put a chill on some of these rights. I also support our ally Israel, and oppose Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon. I also support the Second Amendment, health care reform of some sort, and restrictions on credit card companies. I oppose the auto bailout.

I seek office to better continue the work I have done in and around Minnesota for over thirty-years, protecting constitutional rights, helping those in trouble, helping to turn problems around.

By way of background, I attended the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1985. There I obtained degrees in Political Science and Psychology. Following college, I attended law school at William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. There I was on Law Review and Moot Court. In 1990, I obtained my law degree, graduating with honors.  After graduation from law school, I was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Ralph J. Geffen, United States Magistrate Judge, United States District Court, Central District of California, Los Angeles, California. I have had my own successful law practice downtown Minneapolis since 1995.
